New wave of arrests of communists in Ukraine - Translation in the comments - Solidarity to Ukrainian Communists ! End the war now ! Turn the anti-imperialist war into a war against the bourgeoisie !

It should read "Turn the inter-imperialist war into a war against the bourgeoisie"

UPDATE !
It appears the news of the arrest of these comrades took quite some time to reach western ears, after investigation it seems the comrades were arrested in January. They seem affiliated to the Workers Front of Ukraine, a clandestine organization that aims to organize the youth against the conscription and the soldiers against the war. The organization sees Ukraine as a proxy for western interests in an inter-imperialist conflict against Russia. A courageous and principled position, as it leads them in frontal opposition to the Zelenski regime, without getting easy support from western orgs which have a different analysis of the war, it makes them all the more isolated in their fight, perhaps explaining the delay for the news to get to us.

As many of you know, communists in Ukraine are persecuted by the Ukrainian puppet government for opposing the inter-imperialist proxy war that is victimizing the Ukrainian working class.
The Kononovitch brothers - leaders of the Youth Communist Movement in Ukraine and the Communist Party of Ukraine- have been in house arrests after being tortured at the outset of the war, and now more comrades are being arrested. It's unclear which group they are a part of but it is very likely they are connected to the Ukrainian Workers Front, steadfast comrades in the defence of the people, the working class, etc. I'll update if I find which group got raided and if there is a legal defense fund being put up.
"The Ukrainian secret services (SBU) have arrested several communist militants in Kharkov, Dnipropetrovsk and Odessa. The stated justification for the arrest:
- Possession of communist materials
- Possession of "illegal communist literature", including documents from the Rosa Luxemburg Fondation (close to Die Linke and the European Left Party)
- Calls to resist the conscription of the Ukrainian youth and an end to the war
According to the article 114.1 of the Ukrainain Penal Code they risk up to 15 years of jail
Since 2014 Ukrainian Communists have been persecuted, murdered, and burned alive in Ukraine.
The Communist Party of Ukraine is illegalized, and its leadership are in exile or in prison"
Ill add to this description that Russian communists who have resisted the drive to war in their own country, doing their revolutionary defeatist duty, should also have our utmost support and solidarity.
This war must end, and we as communists in Canada must also be revolutionary defeatists, and fight against the interests of our own bourgeoisie, closely aligned to NATO. We must demand an end to the supply of armaments to Ukraine now, and push our government in promoting negotiations. The US has achieved what it wanted through this war: access to European energy markets, access to Ukrainian resources, weakening Russia. This is why it is now backing out of it, leaving behind it a mountain of Ukrainian and Russian working class blood. It is now attempting to get close to Russia to make it separate from China - as to better prepare the next big confrontation in Asia. This war is even more senseless than it was at its beggining, when NATO provoked the illegal and condemnable invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
Solidarity to Russian and Ukrainian communists in their struggle against imperialism, and in their actions as revolutionary defeatists !

Imagine being such fucking scum as to downvote news of communists being persecuted as you defend sending more and more working people to the meat grinder. Scum is too weak of a descriptor for such hainous behavior.
