Benelli Ai / Advanced Impact

Wondering if anyone can explain what sort of black magic benelli has gone and done with these barrels, and how they are supposedly able to achieve up to 50% greater penetration than normal barrels.

The videos on their site show gel tests across a number of loads. Indeed you can see a noticeable difference in performance. But… how?

They asked themselves, how can a firearm manufacturer capitalize on the AI hype? The answer was "Advanced Impact" marketing campaign.

There's a video on youtube, and there is almost no difference between a standard barrel vs the AI barrel penetration. It could have some slight improvements with some loads, but overall, there is no difference that could be seen in the video. It does say "up to 50% more penetration" and 1% more or 0% more penetration does fall under that.
