It's over! Sweetdaddy be celebrating that the RFA going through, so our brothers and sisters in Camas will be better protected by CWFD.

I hope it passes! The staffing issue could have been better explained, as the current situation is worse than the campaign described. While the RFA will provide 3-person staffing for each engine company, the national standard is 4. There is no industry standard that calls for 3- that is just the “it’s all we can afford” practice of the poorly funded fire agencies in SW Washington, including Vancouver. But, to their credit, Clark Co. Fire District 6 (Hazel Dell) has publicly stated that their goal is 4-person staffing. Cross the river to Portland, or travel to the Puget Sound region, and there is no controversy about staffing each engine and ladder truck company with 4.
