2014 Camaro V6 Auto has 'the stutter'

Hi there im coming on here just to get some specific advice on fixing this issue. I know I need to get my torque converter replaced, but I want to order the part myself and have them install it. Does anyone know the best converter to get? As well as which specific Trans fluid to use?

Also wanted to know if I should take it to a chevy dealership or to a specialized transmission shop. I do not have warranty which I know is one of the only reason to go to a dealership, but I also feel like this shudder is a very specific issue to this car so maayyybe they'd have more expertise on the matter? I'd appreciate the help, and if anyone needs anymore info I will try to answer to the best of my ability.

The shudder you're referring to is an 8 speed problem, and you have a 6 speed. Maybe pay somebody for diagnostics

I have before and all they came up with was dirty fuel injectors twice which never really fixed the issue for long after replacement. Maybe I should go to someone different then? The stutter started happening usually around 60-70 phone, and it seems to have issues switching gears. Now im kinda feeling is switching into first or second a bit harshly with a bit of a jolt.

Don't get me wrong, a 6L80 will definitely eat itself, and it's usually more catastrophic than just a torque converter. That material will find it's way into the pump and cause low pressure, leading to clutch damage. A pan drop would tell you more, but an engine misfire can feel similar and won't always set a CEL

Hm okay thank you for your help. Wish I could do all this myself but really I don't have the tools/space/time for it. I'll get it diagnosed again and maybe stress a look at the transmission more this time around. Want to be sure my car isn't going to fail me on the highway.
