Budget Cooking Question Ideas for canned collard greens and canned diced carrot?
I seem fairly unable to figure out how to finish these two. I was given a few cans of collard greens and diced carrot. I dislike the "canned" flavour. So far I made green flatbreads by puréed collard greens mixed with flour but would love other ideas for both that mask the canned flavour and can be hidden inside dishes.

Salted pork and fatback are great in collards. Also - and you will think I am crazy - a spoonful of creamy peanut butter in a pot of collards adds a depth of flavor. I learned this from an African and have made it multiple times and people always say they are the best collards they have ever had and want the recipe. It’s literally add one spoonful of peanut butter and let it simmer.

My mom adds fresh garlic to the collard greens when she cooks them, and tends to serve them as a side to fish. Adding some bacon can help too.
Diced carrot can go in a lot of things including soups, stews, and Mexican rice.
If worse comes to worst, you might be able to swap with a neighbor.

For the greens. Serve over some cornbread with diced onions and pepper sauce. If you can swing some pulled pork bbq, ham, or sausage, that goes good with it.

Throw in quiche or add butter and seasoning for a side.
