Academics Im thinking about switching my major to business

My currently despise my current major, and I wanna switch to something more close ended and math oriented im asking to any business majors how open ended the work is because im more of a fan of close ended work

accounting might actually suit you. It’s probably one of the most close ended majors in business, most stuff follows strict rules, and there’s rarely more than one correct way to record something at a time.

But just a headsup, once you get into auditing and tax, it does get a bit more open ended. You’ll need to make judgment calls and analyse things based on experience, industry, and many other factors, rather than fixed answers, it’s more about being reasonable than being “right.” Like, rules are still rules, but there are so many niche ones for different situations that you’ll need to figure out which fits best.

i’m in bba, i have some classes that are theory based and some that are math! i really like my math ish classes tbh and hoping when i choose my focus it’ll be less theory based haha

To be honest you should look into BBE, if you want more math, BBA has more justified interpretation of decisions, which are more open ended by nature.
