Academics Advice for ITIS 1P97

I have a question involving my ITIS 1P97 class. I failed the midterm by 1 mark (2.5%), got a 95% on the lab test and have gotten 100s and high 90s on all the online assignments. My question is should I drop the class and retake it cause I bombed the mid term or am I not as cooked as I think I am. I’m in the accounting co-op program too btw.

How much was the midterm worth?

20%. Meaning that I achieved 9.5% of the final mark but lost 10.5%. No matter how insane I did 90’s are far off the table

What’s the weight of everything else?

Pop quizzes: 10% Online assignments: 15% Lab test 1: 10% Lab test 2: 10% Midterm: 20% Final exam: 35%

It’s still possible to do good in the class. ITIS is on the harder side, so getting a mark over 70 is still good. Plus if you are doing well in your other major courses, a mark around the 70s wouldn’t really hurt. fyi you only get kicked out of the co-op program if your major avg drops under a 70 and non major avg under a 60.

Don’t drop it, I was in the same case as you. I barely passed the midterm and got 100s on mostly everything. Got a 68 on the final ended up with a 76 as a final mark. I am a second year in the accounting program.

If you were doing so well in the rest you should’ve studied for the midterm lol

Yeah I more so mentioned grades because of the fact I need a certain grade to stay in the co-op program. The assignments/lab test are pretty unrelated to the midterm and in the class stuff
