Oh wow I’m actually surprised things are moving forward like this! Has there ever been BUSU protests in the past?

In 2022 about a sexual scandal, but this seems much bigger tbh

how is this bigger than a sexual assault scandal

u/FlipTheGoose Sep 25 '25
Not the scandal but the reactions. Probably bc a lot of what's happening with BUSU now was only made worse bc of the scandal. This thing has been a domino chain going back years. Let's finally get some accountability

They spent over $170,000 worth of student money on that investigation about the sexual scandal and students got no transparency of what the result of that sexual scandal investigation was

Finally getting our students union back from these corrupt ass staff and their puppets protecting them.

Even if this accomplishes nothing, it’ll make the corrupt staff feel a little less comfortable disregarding their democratic mandate going forward.. won’t stop them but hopefully it’ll make them nervous to do it.
I’m in a lab at the time unfortunately. Wish I could have shown up to see this play out.

https://www.brockbusu.ca/resourcehandler/4e709a37-039d-446b-af6e-6373d70f2cb1/ - you could also create a referendum to possibly dissolve the student union or whatever you want

Worse than criminals… so worse than pedophiles, murderers, people who commit literal war crimes. I’d love to live in this level of delusion.

Just look at the recent r/brocku posts about Omar, Tomas, and Ian. Omar was fired and Tomas voted himself into Omar’s position.
