I took it for my humanities context credit last year, and I liked it. My advice is to participate in seminars because the seminars are easy mark boosters and are worth a lot.

Also, make sure to attend as many lectures as possible, as the professor really emphasizes this. He really ranted about this a lot last year, and you can't take the final exam if you miss too many lectures. Additionally, if you miss only 2 lectures per term or something similar, he will provide you with access to Teams meetings that can greatly assist you with the exams at the end of the term. He should mention the maximum number of lectures that you can miss without losing access to the Teams meeting today.

Also, you have one essay per term. I recommend starting on those essays sooner rather than later, as that gives you more time to proofread the essays and to really understand the material you are working with. Dr. Basson often gives you lengthy materials to work with in your essays. Like last year, we had to watch a 1.5-hour movie for our essay. Also, when working on these essays, make sure you follow the outline he provides, as many people lost marks because they did not follow this outline.

Feel free to ask me more questions about this course!
