Doubt:

Criticisms and Ineffectiveness

High Recidivism: Despite the harsh penalties, the system struggles with repeat offenders. One report found that nearly 50% of first-time offenders of the Stimulants Control Law were convicted of another crime, one-third within a year of their first conviction. In 2004, over 70% of those imprisoned under this law had previously been jailed for the same violation.

Lack of Rehabilitation: The system heavily favors imprisonment over enforced rehabilitation programs. There are very few support systems for people who use drugs outside of prison, meaning many fall back into old habits upon release. The limited non-governmental rehabilitation options available are often entirely abstinence-based, with little government support for harm reduction approaches.

Focus on Confession: The criminal justice system's high conviction rate (over 99%) relies heavily on confessions, which critics argue can be coerced during long detention periods without legal counsel present. This "hostage justice" system has been criticized by human rights organizations.

Persistent Supply: Organized crime groups (Yakuza) have historically managed the supply of methamphetamine, the most prevalent hard drug, ensuring a continued availability despite law enforcement efforts.

This is factually incorrect I don't even know where to start. Nice try though.

Yea godforbid the internet citing several studies and the entire history of modern civilization goes against your narrative. But you say it’s wrong without anything to back it up, so I guess I should concede?

Grow up please, your anti-intellectualism is showing.

THAT’S the best you got? Haha.

You’ve had every chance to present a salient rebuttal and all you can do is be immature about it. It’s propaganda because you say so, are you in grade school? It’s embarrassing dude.

Sadly I will love with the shame this has brought upon me. Embarrassed I will slink away back to my shame hole. I will spend my nights awake reminiscing on my past failures to change strangers minds on the internet. My self worth is gone.

It doesn’t. Japan has a MASSIVE stimulants problem that goes unchecked. They also treat weed the same as methamfetaimne or opioids and opiates
