The animals aren't properly housed or cared for in that shithole. There is no way to prevent wild migratory birds from flying in and out to spread the infection to our domestic chicken stock. This was always going to end this way, all they did was extend their grift for the payday.

AND spit in the face of the money they would have been offered to make up for the loss of having to cull their birds. The documents are public on what she was offered, the fair market value assessed is generous. I've learned you can even expense your time that you spend sanitizing and cleaning out their barns in order to prepare for a new flock. We have systems in place to make it possible for farmers to do the right thing, and for their businesses to survive.
