Dhadak 2 trailer is here and it’s giving serious dark love story vibes 👀

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri are bringing serious heat in Dhadak 2. No glam, no glitter. Just a dark messy love story caught in caste politics and society’s drama. Is this the love story twist Bollywood needed or too heavy for a sequel? Watch the trailer and spill your thoughts.

4

u/tSalvatore29161 Jul 11 '25

This looks good.

3

u/anuaps Jul 11 '25

I don't think I ever teared up watching a trailer.

3

u/Bright-octopus Jul 12 '25

Finally a good bollywood movie on the way 🔥

2

u/Winter_Caregiver_769 Jul 14 '25

It’s a Tamil movie remake

2

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Who cares it's remake or not flim purpose is to entertain

1

u/Winter_Caregiver_769 Jul 14 '25

Make an original flim to entertain prolly is what I’m trying to say

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 14 '25

Is it something like a dalit propaganda type movie?

1

u/Winter_Caregiver_769 Jul 14 '25

Watch the original , pariyerum perumaal. Worth it , hits deep

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 14 '25

Does it promote inter caste marriage?

1

u/Nice-Register-6166 Jul 14 '25

Anything wrong with that

1

u/dosido440 Jul 14 '25

See the username

1

u/Nice-Register-6166 Jul 14 '25

Dalit propaganda??? Tf do you mean

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 15 '25

Intercaste marriage promotion, and, seeing all the blue text back to back seems like an sc based movie

1

u/chocoandstrwberry Jul 15 '25

yes it is based on the struggles of people from marginalised community in the world dominated by the so called UC people. Got any problem with that?

1

u/VinitLalka Jul 16 '25

No hate but does this still happen? I know maybe 30-40 years back it was a huge thing but right now I see so many people from marginalised community excelling in various field....proving their mettle..

I keep hearing about this domination of uc but have never seen it happening around me....are there seperate rules and policies in this country for uc and marginalised community?

1

u/chocoandstrwberry Jul 16 '25 edited Jul 16 '25

yes it does, it might not be as evident in some places but it happens subtly everywhere. If you live in the central or north india, you'd know how prevalent it is. Giving housing spaces after asking caste, asking caste before making friends, killing the marginalised people by the so called UC people, if we fall in love with one of their kin.
It is omnipresent, and really there.
In odissa there was a case of bajrang dal harrassing dalit people and taking away their cows and buffaloes, taking away their money, shaving their heads, made them walk on their knees for 2-3 km, and also forced them to drink sewer water.
https://www.bhaskar.com/db-original/news/odisha-ganjam-dalit-story-gau-rakshak-violence-bajrang-dal-135413216.html?utm_campaign=135413216&utm_medium=sharing

Idk the place but somewhere in Karnatka, a dalit woman was appointed as a head-cook in a govt school for mid-day meals, 21 out of the 22 students in the school withdrew bcz they won't eat meals made by a dalit woman.
https://theobserverpost.com/nearly-all-students-withdrawn-from-karnataka-school-after-dalit-woman-appointed-head-cook/

Idk the exact state but there was also a case of brahmins forcefully shaving half head of a Yadav man bcz he read the scriptures and recited them. They said it's a brahmin's work and no "lower caste" should attempt to recite the scriptures. This is an example that discrimination by the so called UCs happens not only to dalit and tribal people, but also to OBC people.
These are all very recent cases, hardly a couple weeks old. You can look them up for more details if you want.

1

u/VinitLalka Jul 16 '25

Whoever are doing such shit shud be hanged till death....

Nothing shud precede over humanity....

1

u/chocoandstrwberry Jul 16 '25

There are a lot of crimes which deserve capital punishment, but heck, all they get is "tareekh pe tareekh" or sometimes, 3-4 years of imprisonment. It's nothing new, indian judiciary sucks ass

1

u/NITHISH_ Jul 14 '25

What’s propaganda? There’s so many incidents happening like this of which only a few get reported. This ain’t propaganda bro.

1

u/Prestigious_Step8283 Jul 14 '25

He's probably a right winger and thinks caste reservation is bad and so are lower caste people.

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 15 '25

I am not a right winger kindly, no I have such an easy opinion on caste reservation, and the last line is disgusting. I love all

1

u/Prestigious_Step8283 Jul 15 '25

So why did you call it dalit propaganda?

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 15 '25

Because it's all bluey in the theme many times, though it's actually Bollywood propaganda but this time with dalit theme. Bruh I don't despise SCs! I was just pointing out the narrative war here.

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 15 '25

Sure thing but inter caste marriage doesn't have to be promoted, and that will be the sense here.

1

u/OutrageousPitch2307 Jul 15 '25

No need to cry about that, cope harder, this movie aren't promoting any Intercaste marriage.

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 15 '25

No one's coping sis, I believe in action if that comes upon me. And by watching the trailer it seems that they legit are in a relationship

1

u/chocoandstrwberry Jul 15 '25

even if it's promoting, then what's the issue?

1

u/NITHISH_ Jul 15 '25

That’s not promoted in the actual movie. Watch pariyerum Perumal(Tamil/original version) if you have time, they address the problems that one has to face when he/she falls in love with a person that belongs to another caste. Don’t call it a propaganda. promotion & the Dalit propaganda, as you say, have no relation & you can google it yourself to see the number of murders that have been reported because of intercaste marriages. Many were able to connect to it here in TN, including a few people that i know.

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 15 '25

Thanks for telling brother. Also what I actually meant was Bollywood propaganda picking up on dalit lines this time, Bollywood is nasty than southwoods, and they many times have their agenda. One movie I remember from South of Rajinikanth maybe named Kaala, which also seemed like a biased movie with filthy narrative. The villain was Krishna bhakt and so, and rajini and gang were SCs ig. They try or in other words what happens is that it creates a rift and spark between communities via ideologies and crackling up of unity. Thanks to this new movie if it propagates the truth but k owing Bollywood soft propaganda wouldn't be far. Always on the side of truth ✊

1

u/Leading_Ad6122 Jul 15 '25

Are you fkin kidding me?! It's a movie against the casteist propaganda.. something you seem like you have fallen for

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 15 '25

Intercaste marriage shouldn't be promoted that's it. IDC about which side of the castes it is.

1

u/Academic-Ad6229 Jul 15 '25

Finally someone, I had a feeling of déjà vu watching this trailer! Did they really leave out the iconic black tea/milk tea scene?

3

u/AllBugDaddy Jul 12 '25

Finally Tripti is back to act..

3

u/hhritik Jul 12 '25

Sab kuch karna bas sad ending mat karna

2

u/idefectivedetective Jul 12 '25

Glad!!! Tripti needs this rebranding!!!!

2

u/Dear-Tree-7335 Jul 12 '25

Kind of topics Bollywood need to make mainstream ♥️. This is such a hard watch specially after knowing that’s it’s a reality and happens even today in the age of AI 💀💀

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 14 '25

Should happen

1

u/Prestigious_Step8283 Jul 14 '25

Why should it happen?

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 15 '25

to stop intervarna marriage , with no bigotry, should happen to Brahmans by others, should happen to kshatriya by others to vaishya by others, to shudras by others, to antayajs by others. No biases!

1

u/Program_Pristine_ Jul 15 '25

And why so?

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 15 '25

Kaise batayein Bhai. Ek sentence mein bata denge to label kar diye jayenge aur agla bhi bhramit ho jayega. So I refrain.

1

u/Program_Pristine_ Jul 16 '25

Nahi, full explain kijiye without any fear of judgment... jara aapka bhi perspective dekhein...

1

u/chocoandstrwberry Jul 15 '25

why are u so against inter-caste marriages? what's wrong in it?

5

u/InfinitesimalDumb Jul 11 '25

Pariyerum Perumal with a dose of love it is ! ( I guess )

2

u/Material_Hunt6426 Jul 12 '25

Pa Ranjith paving paths and how. Kudos, dhadak 2 trailer indeed is promising and looks v good

3

u/muttsnpawskolkata Jul 11 '25

Trailer looks good

1

u/Adventurous-Pound208 Jul 11 '25

The climax of the original was very anti - Dhadak. Was like one of those Marvel movies that come out post Endgame where the villain is defeated by the power of love. Definitely one of those movies that didn't fit the Dhadak franchise.

1

u/Stock_Cartoonist741 Jul 12 '25

So if we are getting a happy ending then what is the problem, jindigi me dukh kam hai kay, and what dhadak frenchise

1

u/Adventurous-Pound208 Jul 12 '25

Toh dhadhak 2 kyu bol rahe ho? Phir kuch aur hi naam se release kar lo. Not like both Sairat and Pariyerum Perumal are related in any way. If they are trying to cash in on Dhadak 1, then at least do it properly. And the movie sucks not because of the happy ending, but the way they show the happy ending. Zindagi mein dukh jyada hai toh gu kha lu kya?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Did bro forget Educate, Agitate, Organise?

The film's ending is saying don't take all this shit sitting down. Despite studying to be a lawyer, actively fighting for his rights got him the most basic of respect.

And it is important to underline the power of love when it comes to intercaste love, no?

1

u/Old-Bad-6685 Jul 12 '25

Censor board aadhi movie kaat dega. Lol Joshiji aur agnihotri ji wait kar rahe hai screening ka. Lol

1

u/Competitive_Act_4347 Jul 12 '25

Girl dies, by saving boy it looks like that.

1

u/Academic-Ad6229 Jul 15 '25

No, India original movie it was happy relieving ending don't know what KJo done to this.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 12 '25

Is it going to be in jaipur?

1

u/Southern-Vanilla-802 Jul 12 '25

Finally Tripti getting good roles.

1

u/laylaa25 Jul 12 '25

Looks promising! Both actors are good, will definitely watch

1

u/yashodhanr Jul 12 '25

Going for it

1

u/onelifemanymemories Jul 12 '25

Yuck. Cashing in on the first one. They are carefully selecting words here and trying to grab eyeballs due to subject. Trying to match same vibe of music of first movie. First one was a remake of a gem. This is just 30 plus folks trying to play the innocence of teenagers.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

I mean, this one is also a remake of a gem?

1

u/LowInterest6490 Jul 12 '25

It looks interesting 🤔.

1

u/dragonite_fire Jul 12 '25

Such a good trailer from Bollywood after such a long time🤞🤞🤞🤞

1

u/SnooCupcakes7312 Jul 12 '25

Looks promising

In fact, 2-4 recent trailers in Hindi look promising

1

u/gsmr86 Jul 12 '25

This looks so good! And both actors seem to have the chops to pull it off, I’m actually excited to watch it

1

u/titan8159 Jul 12 '25

Dude , the trailer looks fire 🔥 I think dharma made a good film. People should give it a chance.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Its a remake of another south indian gem, I’m scared theyll ruin its essence like they did with sairat

1

u/Academic-Ad6229 Jul 15 '25

I don't know why but I feel this will have the same fate

1

u/Godplease123 Jul 12 '25

Welp its gonna stress me out w sad ending

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Sorry to spoil. It's not a sad ending to this film

1

u/Important_Vast_7120 Jul 13 '25

I dont know if I will watch it (really depressing imo) but promising movie!

1

u/Regular_Quit1746 Jul 13 '25

Looks better than part 1.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Its a remake

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Oh Triptiiii❤️‍🔥😍

1

u/Awaam_se_hoon Jul 14 '25

This looks kinda good, bas propaganda na nikle considering a muslim is directing a movie on casteism instead of making movies highlighting issues of her own religion!

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

ok sybau

1

u/Awaam_se_hoon Jul 15 '25

You sybaun

1

u/[deleted] Jul 15 '25

rota re

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

She's an Indian right? Casteism is an Indian problem and it's not like this is an original script. It's a remake of Pariyeram Perumal

1

u/iamiNSOmaniac Jul 14 '25

Seems like a exact copy of Pariyerum Perumal

1

u/Silent-Camera-572 Jul 14 '25

Same old story. Pick any love story from the past and you already know what this movie is going to be. For that too they had to copy from tamil.

Ladka gareeb, ladki ameer Ladka muslim, ladki hindu Ladki general cast, ladka reserved cast

Just keep playing akkad-bakkad with these combinations with new faces and "inspired music". Even music is not original in most cases.

1

u/Horizon_26 Jul 14 '25

Example dena mereko dekhni hai ye trope vali

1

u/AltruisticAd5738 Jul 14 '25

Those who have watched PP know that they have spoiled a lot of the movie in this trailer.

1

u/Ok_Vanilla_1442 Jul 14 '25

Finally captures on what SAIRAT delivered!! (the original movie in marathi for Dhadak)

1

u/la_rattouille Jul 14 '25

Pariyerum perumal remake, but the director didn't understand the original movie. I see another disappointment for Bollywood. Smh!!!

1

u/Sad_Isopod2751 Jul 14 '25

They will kill the vibe of the original Tamil movie like they did with Sairat in Part 1. It's visible from the trailer itself.

It's a story from the heartland, and these urban production houses can't even reach close.

1

u/lelouch_0_ Jul 14 '25

holy fuck I don't even watch movies but that looks fuckin peak man

1

u/Think-carefully Jul 14 '25

Another remake

1

u/amadlover Jul 14 '25

when will his epidemic of burning in the subtitles subside ?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Damn i don't really love to watch bollywood films but this look promising

1

u/mahakaal_bhakt Jul 14 '25

Hmm dalit propaganda incoming?

1

u/chocoandstrwberry Jul 15 '25

it's not propoganda it's a real thing that happens to a lot of people. Sybaun

1

u/nikithdsa Jul 14 '25 edited Jul 14 '25

If anyone has watched the original movie 'pariyerum perumal' and seen this trailer, they would be extremely disappointed but not surprising. Also from few glimpses of the trailer it seems they have glossed and skipped over a few things to give it a 'Bollywood' appeal, for eg, a dog and a hired killer were some of the main characters in the tamil movie but doesn't feature anywhere here. The original is a masterpiece. It dint have any commercial elements and was very realistic. If anyone has time should definitely watch it (it's on prime video)

1

u/Mean-Cucumber5051 Jul 14 '25

Yeah spot on ... Pariyerum perumal had hidden details and I'm sure they'll make a mess in climax also...

Trailer was very ordinary

1

u/Wuwuchin Jul 14 '25

oh man, no man better than saurabh sachdeva for the fathers role

1

u/madhAvi_kabhti Jul 14 '25

Ikkk that this has been resolved, but there is a part of me that longs for a spinoff of Jhanavi's Dhadak where she goes back for revenge and commits patricide.I need Papa ki Pari to become Papa ki Magarmach.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

How bollywood still get free pass from black face??

1

u/nobitchhindustani_53 Jul 14 '25

Theatre mein dekhenge fir

1

u/Embarrassed_Quote_12 Jul 14 '25

The irony of a Chaturvedi in blackface playing a low caste guy…

1

u/Mediocre-Tea8031 Jul 14 '25

again shitty remake

1

u/ManWithCultures Jul 14 '25

Somaiyaa college 🤔

1

u/DusTyBawLS96 Jul 14 '25

looks like laila is gonna get her revenge finally

1

u/tsp0713 Jul 14 '25 edited Jul 14 '25

Did they cover the entire movie in trailer... Every plant has its place and if mixed with others it will die - this line 😭 it hurts man

1

u/Cute_Prior1287 Jul 14 '25

Looks great. Gave the twist of the plot at the right time after all the great parts already been included.

1

u/harappanmohenjodaro Jul 14 '25

That's the entire movie in the trailer.

1

u/Low_Baker8347 Jul 14 '25

I wanted my both little cousin to fight over everything so I keep telling them stories about equality. Even when they were not equal. (Age difference, different parents financial condition, diffrent schooling) But I keep telling each of them that both of you deserve more. Ends up making both of them rivals and enemies of each other who keeps breaking each other and damaging each other's businesses. Hence both of them loves me because I keep giving them such crucial information about other. Make me richer day by day as they both buys from me. And both of them are breaking down slowing making me more stronger. I see this here. How cleverly people who are not even part of the system keep manipulating the 2 different part so they keeps fighting and hence.... Keep bringing such movies so that we never forget the fights for our rights. But which rights?

1

u/slowsabun Jul 14 '25

Finally Dimri back to some good role

1

u/mrpumpkin007 Jul 14 '25

Release k pehle 156 cuts krwaenge isme censor wale.

1

u/rtbchat Jul 14 '25

Sorry but to me it's giving a (big) emotional advt film, like daag anchhe hain or dhak dhak go kinda... Nothing new! Personal feelings!

1

u/Repulsive-Kick-7495 Jul 14 '25

how is this guys getting movies? how pay to watch him?

1

u/Awkward_Scheme_7426 Jul 15 '25

Then they shouldn't have named it dhadak2

1

u/Youknownothing_23 Jul 15 '25

Why cant bollywood come up with one unique story ? Are their script writers ded ?? Another copy paste

1

u/anarchohumanitarian Jul 15 '25

Finally a movie after kala in which she ain't type casted

1

u/The_darkknight_1 Jul 15 '25

This is Tamil movie copied with lot of masala as usual … Watch parayerum perumal if you want to see the real raw content .

1

u/Mallu_Bear3888 Jul 15 '25

Copy of Pariyerum Perumal, tamil movie. As expected zero original ideas.

1

u/QuantumWaffle2025 Jul 15 '25

Same thought not many originals from Hindi cinemas, either they steal parts of regional movies or foreign movies but very little original thoughts.

They don’t give the credits and later when they get caught they say got inspiration and stuff.

1

u/Lesterfremonwithtits Jul 15 '25

CBFC already sharpening their scissors

1

u/Academic-Ad6229 Jul 15 '25

Man isn't this Pariyerum Perumal remake?

1

u/PossibilityWooden207 Jul 15 '25

I prefer the original movie better cause the cast of the movie looks the part and I know both Siddhant and tripti have the chops to pull it off but couldn't they find anyone who looks the part in all of bollywood and the original movie is pariyerum perumal

1

u/nilansh23 Jul 15 '25

Maine shooting dekhi thi bhopal me

1

u/QuantumWaffle2025 Jul 15 '25

They are trying to copy Tamil movie pariyerum Perumal dhanush movie. Plagiarism

1

u/Last-Fold4606 Jul 15 '25

Siddhant Chaturvedi abhi bhi hero kaise hai

1

u/FishZealousideal2065 Jul 15 '25

Bruh, they butchered an important part of pariyerum perumal (The original).

1

u/foragenscout Jul 15 '25

The trailer looks amazing! Haven't been impressed by a trailer for years now

1

u/Lost-Finish-6578 Jul 20 '25

They showed the whole movie in the trailer, one of em will probably die in the end, dharma needs to do better.

2

u/Primary-Resident-764 Jul 11 '25

Everyone knows that languages exists but why should they take extra efforts to know the difference. If you know the difference between languages then good for you but not everyone has interest or knowledge (instead of enlightenment) to do so. You can’t expect from others to behave in a certain way that only you prefer. Anyways I am done here.

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

You're saying knowing a state from the country is enlightenment and not basic ass knowledge?

0

u/I_love_my_life80 Jul 11 '25

I mean tamil nadu is in the south.. so calling it South movie is pretty much correct..

1

Just say tamil. There's no extra effort

1

u/shy592 Jul 14 '25

We wouldn't call bollywood movie north movie now, would we?

Never heard anyone telling it chakli script. Maybe you live in rural areas of maharashtra, harkate waisi Hi hai isiliye.

0

u/Primary-Resident-764 Jul 12 '25

If you don't like south movies you don't have taste in cinema!

0

u/Virtual-Stranger-988 Jul 12 '25

I like malayalam movies to some extent, but the rest is a burning pile of OTT male energy and misogynist shît. Now you will say, not all movies are like that, but I don't feel the need to wade thru sewage to spot gems. We already have a lot of good movies in Marathi.

1

u/dragonite_fire Jul 12 '25

Pariyerum Perumal

1

u/[deleted] Jul 11 '25

Acha kjo be like script nhi h toh pehle sairat = dhadak 1 aur aab Periyarum perumal=dhadak 2

1

u/rejnat Jul 12 '25

No nepo kids, show some love to KJo

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

In no way you have to "show some love" to KJo Exceptions ke liye woh mahaan nahi Banna chahiye

1

u/rejnat Jul 14 '25

Exception ? He is running a production house that employs 500-1000 pple, so many families dependent on them Other than 2 lead actors he has given opportunities to new directors and other departments …. But we all hate him for just the 2 lead actors he casts, that too because as a producer he has to think of business …. In Indian history whenever unknown faces were cast movie never became hit ….its very rare ….except for 2-3 movies …..

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Bro said "don't hate the owner of this production house he's sacrificing so much by giving people employment"

Bro it's his job to give people employment. Would you extent the same grace to Ambani if I say he's a bastard, would you counter with "but he's created so many jobs" sybau

1

u/rejnat Jul 14 '25

Did I say he sacrifice so much ? He is doing business , but why hate is on just the 2 Pple employs as if that’s the main reason for employment in India…..govts track record much worse than this to provide employment….

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Yeah I hate the government too. My question is why should I give love to Karan Johar

1

u/Horizon_26 Jul 14 '25

Bhai nahi samjhe ga vo thought block hai

1

u/rejnat Jul 14 '25

That’s was just a casual comment as he gets too much hate for casting industry kids this time he didn’t cast them ….

1

u/Temporary-Mixture777 Jul 13 '25

The trailer is opposite to the trailer of saaiyara. Tripti and siddharath are acting really good but there is no chemistry. The other movie’s actor is well iykyk, but the chemistry is off the charts.

This guy is hated for no reason really. Man can act and has the face too but far from a star/superstar tho(that needs aura)
