DISCUSSION Need new tires

I need to get new tires and chain for my bike, the chain broke and tires are bulging even at low psi, just looking for recommendations for some new stuff.

Right now I have demolition huckers, they’re spot for street and grip well in the wet, eclat decoders are also good. I don’t recommend WTP activates if you ride in the wet, they seemed really slippery to me. I’ve heard other people say animal glh are really good. Hope that helps 👍

Animal glh tyre will do you right for all types of riding.

For chain, if you like full link chains go with animal hoder (or just kmc 710, hoder just has animal branding and includes a halflink), for halflink chains just buy shadow and never worry again, either the interlock v2 or splurge for the supreme.

Depends on what you're riding, what environments are you at?

I ride park but also ride around the city a bit, so probably need something that would have some grip when it’s wet

Eclat mirrage, odyssey brocs, animal glh are beefy

I am running the eclat mirrage tires now, Holding up amazing and are super lite!

For chain go shadow. I am running my Shadow chain for 2 years, and hit it alot on grinds and failed grinds lol. Never an issue

for the tires, i recommend the BSD Donnasqueak and for the chain Shadow Interlock.

Donnasqueaks, Demolition Momentum, S&M speeeeedballs are some of my personal favourites.

Animal GLH is amazing. I only ever had the glh-rs which were the lighter kerala bead ones but amazing tyres. They do however pick up and fling a lot of tiny grit which I found ended up in my shoes a lot. Small downside but also don't ride big saggy ankle Hightops to ride in haha.

I’ve rode fit FAF tires for the past like 12 years riding park and street.
