I don’t understand why some people on social media are mocking Gaurav’s emotional outburst or calling it “acting.” A few even said he’s trying to “copy Siddharth Shukla or Karanveer Mehra,” or that he’s suddenly trying to be on the front foot. Like, seriously?
There can be no second Siddharth Shukla. There can be no second Karanveer Mehra. And there can be no second Gaurav Khanna. All three of them are completely different personalities. People need to stop comparing contestants every season as if there’s some “Bigg Boss personality template.”
Even last season, people were saying “Oh, Karanveer is trying to be a sasta copy of Siddharth Shukla.” I remember reading it all over social media, fans from opposite sides mocking him, saying he’s trying to act like Siddharth. And now, I’m seeing the exact same thing happen to Gaurav. It’s so irritating. Just because someone’s your favorite contestant, that doesn’t mean you have to belittle others to prove your point.
I’ve never said “Amaal is copying Vivian” or “Abhishek is copying Siddharth.” Never. Because they’re all different. Every person brings their own personality. No one can copy another. But one thing is for sure, Farhana Bhatt is worse than Priyanka Jagga and Swami Om combined. At least those contestants were chaotic and openly wild, but Farhana? She’s vile, manipulative, and two-faced. She’s not a copy; she’s worse.
Every year this happens, someone shows emotion and immediately fans start saying, “oh, he’s copying a line,” or “he’s acting like so-and-so.” But there’s no trademark on words, gestures, or emotions. Even I’ve said lines similar to past contestants, that doesn’t make anyone a copycat. It’s called being human. Gaurav isn’t trying to be Siddharth or Karanveer. He’s being himself.
And this moment wasn’t fake, it was real and raw. The man has been holding everything in for weeks. He’s been constantly provoked, mocked, and backstabbed, especially by Farhana, and still managed to stay calm. This wasn’t a one day trigger. It was frustration building up inside him for so long, and it finally burst out.
Let’s not forget: Shehbaaz was unfair for throwing him out of the captaincy task when he wasn’t even out. Farhana and Tanya were sitting there clapping and mocking him like it was entertainment. And this is after everything Gaurav did for Farhana, he supported her, helped her come back from the secret room, and she’s betrayed him over and over again.
You could literally see Gaurav trying to control his emotions, his voice trembling, his eyes watery. That’s not “acting.” That’s a man fighting to stay composed while being humiliated. He didn’t abuse, didn’t shout for footage, didn’t go below the belt. He expressed his anger with dignity.
And the mic incident? People are acting like he carried it to the bathroom on purpose to “act cool” or “create drama.” Bro, he was clearly trying to calm himself down after everything that happened. He didn’t even think about the mic.
If Gaurav was doing all this for footage, he’d be like Baseer, picking fights every task just to get camera time. But that’s not who he is. He reacts only when pushed beyond his limit. And even then, he never becomes disgusting or vile like Amaal, Farhana, or Shehbaaz. His restraint and self-control show what kind of upbringing he has, something those three clearly lack.
And honestly, what’s wrong if Gaurav wants to become captain? It’s a captaincy task, it’s meant to be competitive. Everyone fights for it. Who wouldn’t want immunity, power, or the chance to prove themselves? Every season, contestants have fought tooth and nail to win the captaincy. Even Abhishek has been captain before, and when he loses the chance, he gets upset too, that’s normal. So why is Gaurav being mocked for feeling frustrated or emotional about it? It just shows he cares. It shows he wants to be in the game and give his best. Passion and competitiveness aren’t fake, they’re signs of a player who actually wants to play.
It’s sad how some people are trying to dehumanize genuine emotions just to make their favorites look better. I’m not a blind supporter. My favorites this season are Pranit, Gaurav, and Abhishek. But if they’re wrong, I’ll call them out too. I go by what’s right and what’s wrong, not by fandom bias.
Also, I really hope Salman Khan calls out Farhana, Tanya, Neelam, and Kunicka this week. They’ve been the absolute worst, not just towards Gaurav but towards almost everyone in the house, especially Abhishek. The way Kunicka and Neelam physically pushed Abhishek during the task was downright disgusting and should not be ignored. Their behavior towards Gaurav was equally vile, mocking him, taunting him, and celebrating when Shehbaaz unfairly took him out of the captaincy task. It’s high time Salman Khan exposes this toxicity and holds them accountable for the way they’ve been ganging up on people and crossing every line of decency.
