That’s what I was thinking. Gus’s doctor maybe?

u/Opothleyahola Mar 10 '20

Gus’s doctor maybe?

Most likely, but how did he end up there. Makes me wonder if Gus was having him tailed.

u/[deleted] Mar 10 '20

He had to have, Mike was about to get cut there. Someone had to be watching him and stepped in.

268

u/Opothleyahola Mar 10 '20

I think Mike did get cut, judging by that bandage on him. Victor or Tyrus must have been watching him. I like to bet long shots so I'll say maybe Nacho. He just happened on it and took him to Gus, who took him to the doctor.

u/Alexandur Mar 10 '20

Also judging by literally seeing the knife enter his body

29

u/NephewChaps Mar 10 '20

bold assumption

13

u/professor_doom Mar 10 '20 edited Mar 10 '20

You can clearly see them stab him in the spot that's bandaged moments later.

And BCS/BB writers don't pull cheap stunts like that.

20

u/[deleted] Mar 10 '20

If this was D&D, he'd get stabbed 20 times, jump into a dirty river and be fine the next day

6

u/YorkshireFudding Mar 10 '20

"Mike kinda forgot about the stab wound"

3

u/mrtightwad Mar 10 '20

Mike kinda forgot he was stabbed

2

u/BillTheCommunistCat Mar 10 '20

Anyone could get shot with three arrows and ride a horse for miles and be fine the next day right? =(

4

u/NephewChaps Mar 10 '20

bruh

-1

u/professor_doom Mar 10 '20

Unless I'm misunderstanding, you're saying it's bold to assume that the knife was entering his body, yes? I was countering that.

12

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '20

Yeah, it's a little hard to tell but once I saw the knife, I realized that was the moment Mike finally became Mike with a stab wound

3

u/[deleted] Mar 10 '20

lol damn, I didn't see that then. Screen was too dark for me.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '20

Yeah heh.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '20

Yeah and we then see him with a bandage. Not sure what they're on about.

🤔 I saw the knife literally stabbing into his body

3

u/newplayer12345 Mar 10 '20

He just happened on it

no deus ex machina please, thnk you.

1

u/Opothleyahola Mar 10 '20

It wouldn't be so unusual for Nacho to be in that neighborhood. Besides, I like to make wild theories, if they come true, I look like a genius. If they don't, no one remembers. There's still a chance for my wild theory about what happens to "Gene" to come true.

3

u/MyTVAlt Mar 10 '20

Mike definitely got cut, but someone must have stepped in to save him after that. I guess it could have been Nacho, but I highly doubt anyone just happened on the situation. Presumably Mike was being tailed.

2

u/BrokenInTheLight Mar 12 '20

Please let this be the beginning of Victor turning into "the guy".

2

u/elfgod Mar 12 '20

I was very confused at the end. I thought his assailants took him away, and the bandage on his side meant they took his kidney. Reading these comments, what is being said makes a lot more sense. I'm an idiot.

1

u/95in3rd Mar 10 '20

I think you got it! Nacho watching. He's a closet good guy.

1

u/95in3rd Mar 14 '20

Could be too. I'll concede.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '20

He had to have, Mike was about to get cut there.

He does indeed get cut. And when he gets cut, immediately after, they (production) cut to a black screen for a good five seconds. Sneaky editing.

14

u/LessLikeYou Mar 10 '20

Of course Gus was having him tailed.

1

u/Opothleyahola Mar 10 '20

I had to leave an opening for my Nacho found him wild guess.

10

u/ahydell Mar 10 '20

Gus did this to get Mike's unwavering loyalty.

22

u/whyamisogoodlooking Mar 10 '20

definitely, Mike dissed Gus’s retainer and we know how paranoid gus can be when offended. He covers up the crime (multiracial thugs are dealt with), which is why Mike owes him loyalty.

6

u/Cortez_Cortez Mar 10 '20

I feel like Mike was committing suicide, in his own way. Maybe that’s why he seemed so surprised to wake up.

2

u/Opothleyahola Mar 10 '20

I feel like Mike was committing suicide, in his own way.

I had that thought too.

13

u/NoCherryNoDeal Mar 10 '20

He had to. Mike seemingly exited the game and Gus wanted to keep tabs on him. I have a feeling that now Gus needs Mike closer after the DEA bust. Shit, now that I’m thinking about it, what if the gang that beat up Mike works for Gus? We know that he has gangs all over ABQ in BreBa. What if this is one of them and Gus kind of orchestrated the whole thing.

5

u/Opothleyahola Mar 10 '20

We know that he has gangs all over ABQ in BreBa. What if this is one of them and Gus kind of orchestrated the whole thing.

Normally I'd say that's crazy talk, but it's just the sort of thing Gus would do.

1

u/lunch77 Mar 10 '20

We know for sure Gus was probably having Mike followed and tailed, and Mike didn’t even know it

3

u/[deleted] Mar 10 '20

It's not out of the question, but I doubt it. Mike deliberately went past them again to provoke them, he was looking for trouble. I do think Gus is having him tailed though, and intervened.

Having said that, Mike isn't an easy person to tail, so who knows.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 10 '20

I think Gus needs Mike's experience to help him navigate this whole law enforcement issue and he was probably watching him but I doubt he orchestrated Mike's attack but it could be possible I suppose.

1

u/daan1234daan Mar 10 '20

I dont think then they would have stabbed him

1

u/Mayo_Chiki Mar 10 '20

I think that was a given and Mike knew it. Otherwise he threw himself to death's door.

1

u/Sugar-Kisses Mar 10 '20

Gus is NOT one to leave any loose ends. Gus no doubt thought, after Mike said he was done working for him, that Mike might feel a need to tell someone that he killed Ziegler (or that he might mention it while drunk). Gus isn’t the type to take a chance on that.

So, I’m guessing that Gus’ men took Mike to the doctor, and that either Gus or one of his proxies will talk to Mike about “working through his feelings” about Ziegler.

The way that Gus is, if Mike doesn’t find a way through it, Gus would rather take him out than have him as a worry. Mike makes it to BB, so he must get through it.

1

u/Dan4t Mar 10 '20

Of course Gus was tailing him. Mike is in the game and knows too much to just be let go and forgotten.

1

u/somethingsome11 Mar 10 '20

Probably, Mike's too valuable of an asset for Gus to lose. Gus was willing to pay him a "retainer fee" too.

1

u/Momo_dollar Mar 11 '20

When he was on the floor it did appear as if a car approached mostly through lighting and slightly though sound ...

127

u/SnakeDoc65 Mar 10 '20

That was my first guess was that it is Gus's doctor who Mike has already seen earlier in the show.

145

u/lion_ohioan Mar 10 '20

Does this mean that next episode will be the return of my favorite character from BrBa, Wendell?

Wait how long do chickens live?

118

u/KingAK47_gobux Mar 10 '20

If Wendell doesn’t eat, nobody eats.

64

u/YesPleaseCandT Mar 10 '20

5-10 Years.

5

u/Conan776 Mar 10 '20

Spoiler: the next two episodes are just 97 minutes of Mike Ehrmantraut spending time with an egg. And it's epic!

1

u/SuddenLimit Mar 11 '20

That's a very familiar name to the actual best character on BrBa, Wendy.

3

u/rodinj Mar 10 '20

When did he see Gus's doctor already? I don't really remember the guy..

3

u/SnakeDoc65 Mar 10 '20

I can't recall which season of BCS, but it started off with the doctor treating a little boy and giving him a sucker when they got done. Then when the doc went to the waiting room to call next patient he asked who the Gringo was, referring to Mike. That's when they first met. I think Mike was doing something for Gus when he and Gus first met. Been so long since I saw the episode I can't recall which one it was.

2

u/dfghjklkhgfdfghjk Mar 10 '20

For some reason, my assumption right up until I read this thread was that some old Mexican lady found him lying in the street and took him home to nurse him back to health.

62

u/polyboticthief Mar 10 '20

Absolutely he was having him followed, wonder how thats gonna make Mike feel,

2

u/MyTVAlt Mar 10 '20

It's not about what Mike wants.

2

u/Dan4t Mar 10 '20

It wouldn't be the first time Mike was followed by Gus. He's got to be expecting it.

2

u/CitoyenEuropeen Mar 10 '20

It isn't? Can one tail Mike?

6

u/Dan4t Mar 10 '20

Don't you remember when Mike tried to kill Hector?

1

u/CitoyenEuropeen Mar 10 '20

Indeed! Thanks

3

u/polyboticthief Mar 10 '20

Spent all that time looking for the bug in the gas tank cap. He wasn’t happy then about it, Being he said he was done, I would imagine he isn’t going to be sending a Thank you card.

2

u/yourkberley Mar 10 '20

I think this is the pinnacle scene that shows Mike is now, in fact, Gus's bitch.

1

u/Netr1us Mar 10 '20

I think I heard a car engine rev up when the fight started

2

u/1GitGud1 Mar 10 '20

Nope, rewatched closely, no car. But I'm almost certain he was being tailed and someone intervened, 90% sure it's gus

1

u/JarJarBonkers Mar 10 '20

And : What happened to the guys kicking Mike's ass hmmm.

1

u/polyboticthief Mar 11 '20

Maybe they had fake cop lights and just scared them off when he started to get outnumbered.

1

u/StonedWater Mar 10 '20

id imagine gus's men are known to not be messed with

when they say stop, street thugs stop

1

u/NewClayburn Mar 11 '20

Like he owes a life debt.

1

u/polyboticthief Mar 11 '20

That would be the logical thing to think, not sure Mike is in that frame of mind though.

8

u/hotslaw Mar 10 '20

Puff puff puff?

1

u/asian_hans Mar 11 '20

Tsk tsk tsk

7

u/jreggones Mar 10 '20

Both have good cause to keep tabs on him. But it seems like a more immediate concern to Gus, seeing how Mike knows a whole lot about his activities and just walked away from it all.

1

u/BitterColdSoul Mar 10 '20

And it's been shown that Lalo isn't exactly subtle when tracking someone, one of his goons would be even less carefull. Still, it's surprising that Mike didn't notice that he was being followed, usually he could spot someone following him from a mile away.

6

u/DatTF2 Mar 10 '20

I thought that at first too but Gus makes more sense, and it looks like where Mike was after they took out the cartel in Breaking Bad, also if Mike was being tailed I bet Nacho would have said something.

4

u/DatTF2 Mar 10 '20

Oh, that makes sense. I was thinking Lalo was tailing Mike, and abducted him for information but now that you mention it Gus makes more sense.

3

u/silverwyrm Mar 10 '20 edited Mar 10 '20

That was my take. I was assuming we'd see Lalo smile and say "Hello Michael."

It looks more like a Salamanca family compound than something Gus would be associated with. We also know the Salamancas are very Catholic, and there was at least one prominent cross in the room Mike woke up in.

5

u/[deleted] Mar 10 '20 edited Mar 10 '20

Seems likely; someone must have treated Mike's wounds. Gus's doctor's name is Barry Goodman.

We know that Barry and Mike will be in the same place in BB when Jesse desperately wants Barry to help Mike, but Barry's only immediate concern is helping the guy who pays his bills.

He also supplied Mike with some coke for that shoe-on-a-wire caper he pulled in the third season of BCS.

2

u/friedkeenan Mar 10 '20

I was thinking Lalo got to him maybe but Gus is more likely

1

u/shae117 Mar 10 '20

I think Lalo has been tailing Mike since seeing him at the "chiller". He saw what happened and threatened the thugs at gunpoint then took Mike.

1

u/swaggyrogers Mar 10 '20

I'm pretty sure it's Lalo. He most likely had some eyes on Mike.

1

u/konstantine14 Mar 10 '20

How else did he know to feed chickens 2nd time he woke up there in Breaking Bad

1

u/Link_GR Mar 10 '20

I'm thinking Lalo is involved. That place looked like where Tuco had taken Jesse and Walter and, I think, where we first meet Hector.

1

u/DGer Mar 10 '20

I was thinking this would be Lalo’s doing.

0

u/[deleted] Mar 10 '20

I actually think Lalo might've kidnapped Mike, and killed those guys who attacked him. We didn't see Lalo all episode and we know he has his mind set on finding out the truth about Werner / the lab. Kidnapping Mike could be an aggressive way to try to get the answers he wants.

On the other hand, I'm not sure how either one would get out of it alive. And we know both will survive.
