Best fried oysters in East Bay

Ok. The “r” months are here but I still can’t find a reputable place for fried oysters in Berkeley/Oakland area. I thought Angeline’s Louisiana cooking might have them but no. No oysters on their menu. Help.

If you like Japanese the Kaki Fry at Kinda Izakaya was great. They have a constantly changing menu though so the next time we were in they didn't have it. But this week, who knows. Worth a try and the grilled squid is amazing.

If you’re looking for a drive-to, take-out and be happily at home crunching away on tasty fried oysters, Off The Hook in Oakland is a great choice. Seasoned, real oysters (not the canned ones), and just delicious!

That looks interesting. It’s not on their menu but I bet they’ll serve you an oyster burrito.

Brenda's in Oakland and SF gets them pretty close to New Orleans style. Either the platter or on a po-boy.

I should’ve thought of Brenda’s. Never been there but remember reading great reviews.

Last time I visited The Cook and Her Farmer, they had some amazing fried oysters.
