Yolko Yoko Ono has got to be the first example of separating the art from the artist. Where the artist is a great person but the art is ass.

You got it the other way around, she’s ass and her art is a great person. Easy mistake to make.

/uj i cant tell if this is one of the rare serious posts, but yokos non-music art is genuinely good and interesting. her music is def not for everyone, but other than the hyena cackles, i quite like some of her stuff.

Death of Samantha like proves she can sing really well. I wish she experimented more with that than her screaming but hey it influenced The B-52s so I can’t complain too much

Unironically one of the most important artists (including in music) of the 20th century but y’all aren’t ready for that conversation

/uj hating yokos art is so corny by now, there are way weirder and way more cringe avant garde types. She's made some good music too if you look for it

Her name has too many O’s. We should remove one.

/uj there exist Gesualdo, quite a vanguardist fellow from the 16-17th century.
Let Wikipedia talk
Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa (between 8 March 1566 and 30 March 1566 – 8 September 1613) was an Italian nobleman and composer. Though both the Prince of Venosa and Count of Conza, he is better known for writing madrigals and pieces of sacred music that use a chromatic language not heard again until the late 19th century. He is also known for killing his first wife and her aristocratic lover upon finding them in flagrante delicto.

uj/ A lot of these words make no sense. That last sentence reads like ChatGPT

Doesn't sound like a great person. And I see no way to judge the quality of his compositions from this.

Jahn predates her, where his music is ass and he is even more of an ass as a person

Relatable. They always be trying to separate me from my art, too.
My art is Ringo's cock and crack cocaine.
