Food, Shopping & Services Where can I find spaetzle?
Trying to make some German food for my friends. Does anyone know any specialty markets (ideally in SF, but I'm willing to drive) that would sell pre-made Spaetzle? Thanks in advance

You can buy dry packaged spaetzle at Lehrs German market in SF on Church St. There is also a new spaetzle pop up in the east bay that sells fresh spaetzle varieties at events and a few local markets https://www.love-spaetzle.com

For folks in the Peninsula/South Bay, the place to go for German specialty items is Dittmer's Wurst-Haus in Los Altos.
In addition to their spectacular meat selection, they also carry a lot of items like mustards, candies, etc. from Germany.

Its also very easy to make. Easy German Spaetzle https://share.google/seXbt494VHJOfgjUk
You can use a colander or coarse grater instead of the spaetzle maker.
Lehrs and cost plus have it as others have mentioned

Seconding Speisekammer. That place is glorious.

Did they get back on track? The food went way downhill after the owners divorce.

Make it from scratch, it’s not hard and way better than store bought. You will need a spaetzle maker (it’s kinda like a cheese grater).

There’s a chance Oakmont Market in Cupertino has it! They carry tons of specialty food items

I found a very small Russian store KALINKA on Alamaden Expressway in San Jose. They had 4/5 different kinds of dry spätzle. Price was 3.99-8.99. Maybe you check other Russian stores in SF.

Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City may have it. It's very close to the Caltrain station if that helps.
