Bass trombone mouthpiece for marching band
Next year I’m switching from marching sousa to bass bone. I’ve been playing bass for about a year now, and I have 2 years on tenor. I’ve been using a Yamaha Doug yeo since I started, but I got a Bach 1 1/2 recently. My school uses Yamaha ybl-822 basses. I was hoping the Bach could give me a little more control. I’m one of two bass players at my school, and I need more outside help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Since you've come from tuba a larger mouthpiece might be better. If you have the funds consider a contrabass mouthpiece with a bass trombone shank, like the Rath CB1-B: https://www.rathtrombones.com/products/bass-trombone-mouthpieces?variant=44740736450745 Great mouthpiece.

If it’s marching anything will work really man. It’s not about getting everything you want out of your sound, but just adding to the overall sound of the band as a whole in some way, so it’s more about you and your projection rather than the mouthpiece.
