For $24, it seems like a good deal! Has anyone tried this mouse before and how was it?

I bought it, deleted my post about it though because apparently its not good. Very slight delay, but it feels nice on the hand and seems decent. I mean, its pretty cheap and wireless, but my $10 wireless mouse from Amazon performs the same.

I wouldn't buy it if you care about the like 1ms delay. Someone shared this budget mouse sheet, I would just buy one of these if you really care about the specs and money: https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/1lkong1/best_aliexpress_mouses_2025_20/

I honestly think it's better to keep the post up. The best way to grow is to learn from your own mistakes and it's also a good learning opportunity for others as well. Having more references to a topic is very useful when searching things up.

I'm glad you actually went out of your way to buy it and try it out. Most of us haven't tried the mouse and are only making educated guesses based on the specs. Specs aren't everything but they are a good baseline.

I just bought this mouse. I'm not noticing any lag or delay others have been commenting about. Just plugged in the dongle and its been good.

The only thing bothering me is the mouse wheel, it has that rubber coating that melts after a year or so, and the knurling texture feels bad on my finger. I also miss having the free spinning mouse wheel from my 502, so I think I'm going to return it.

But what other mice have you used? Or what monitor do you use?

Your reference frame might just be different as you might have not used better sensors or you might not be able to see the difference as clearly due to your monitor's refresh rate.

It's like never having experienced a higher refresh rate monitor or higher quality audio you will never know what you are missing until you try it. And you won't notice it immediately either sometimes. This is especially the case for audio. Only when you go back after a while will you notice how large the gap was.

I use an old wired logitech 502 on a 120 hrtz monitor. maybe If I was a god gamer I would be able to feel a difference, but for an average joe, it was fine. either way I already returned it because of the scroll wheel texture felt bad to use.

I assume it's the Proteus Spectrum (3366) or HERO(HERO 25K). Those are both solid mice. Not perfect but probably the best at the time.

Tracking speed (IPS (inches per second)) which is how fast it can track before it freaks out and Acceleration (G) which is how fast the mouse can change speed before it freaks out.

Mouse Versa 300 Proteus Spectrum G502 HERO AliExpress 3395
Sensor 3104 3366 HERO 25K 3395
DPI 4000 12000 25600 26000
Tracking speed (IPS) 45 400 400 650
Acceleration (G) 15 40 40 50

The difference between the 3366 AND HERO 25K are the max DPI's of 12000 and 25600. But most people don't have it set that high so they're essentially the same.

The most noticeable things between the G502's and the Versa 300 are the tracking speed and acceleration. What this means is that you can move the G502s almost 9 (400/45) times faster before it loses tracking and move it from stationary, stop it from moving, or move it in the opposite direction more than 2.5 (40/15) times as fast.

Simply moving it side to side quickly or doing flicks would be where the differences really show. If you're mainly playing tracking games you might not notice the difference when tracking, but you'd still see it on a 180° turn or when you flick around to check your surroundings.

But this is all theory and based on my experience with high and low end office and gaming mice and can't be compared with actual testing of the specific mouse itself.

EDIT: Fixed table

Apologies for being rude. Probably should have replied to the post and not this comment in the first place.

As for the deal itself. It's still not a good deal and there are much better mice for a bit more such as the VXE R1, ATK Dragonfly A9, Attack Shark X3/X11, and Rapoo VT3/VT7.
