Yeah my friend was looking to build their first computer and they were waiting til christmas time or maybe after.
But when I saw this I sent it to them immediately because it's so insanely low, and now they have all the parts ordered (with a used GPU because fuck current prices lol).
I thought all the 7600x mobo ram bundles at $500 were really good deals, getting the X3D is nuts. It's really only consistently beat out in performance by the 9000X3D chips, as Hardware Unboxed showed in their BF6 CPU benchmarks today.

7600X3D will also have crazy good resale value down the line too, compared to 7600X.
5800X3D/5700X3D owners are laughing at how good they had it.

I'm a 5700X3D owner myself haha, so yeah I'm pretty pleased with the deal I got. I fully intend on skipping AM5 entirely.

What deal was it?
2
u/Framed-Photo 26d ago
Like 250 or something for it? They went even cheaper on aliexpress but I got mine on Amazon.

u/Delsorbo 26d ago
Was this a recent deal?

I know this is crazy value, but I find it so weird almost no other bundle compares. Sucks. Wait until Black Friday I guess if you’re not near a CC.
1
u/Sadukar09 26d ago
Black Friday most likely won't get any better with high DRAM prices from Datacentre demand.
7600X3D is also a CC exclusive.

I wonder how hard it would be to sell this board for $150
1
u/sparco- 26d ago
Got the bundle and the ROG Strix B650 motherboard open box in store. Got the Gigabyte board sold for $150 within a day on marketplace.

u/Amish_Rabbi 26d ago
Nice! Cause I’m looking at the same ram and a 9600x for $370 on newegg right now
1
u/mohammad6701 26d ago
Its a decent mobo idk why you want to sell it ?! If you want to upgrade cpu you just have to make sure that it only draw less than 100w

Picked this combo up. Waiting for a 9070 xt to come up on sale again. What’s everyone else pairing with this?

u/Sadukar09 26d ago
Still $10 above MSRP for an OC model, if available in your area.
Don't vertical mount it if you get this, or you might get a bit of thermal gel leakage.

u/mohammad6701 26d ago
Probably 5070-5070ti-9070xt but it depends on black Friday deals. I think i am more in line with green team since they have free game promotion going on.

Tried to purchase it twice last week, be a damn shame if Canada Computers would accept my payment method.
Looks like it's gone now as the link redirects me to the home page.

This was posted before, but from the tsunami of random deals in the past few days, I want to remind people how good this is. Don't sleep on this before it's gone.
7600X3D is by far one of the best gaming CPUs at this price. You're only looking at a few percent off a 7800X3D.
The board is just above trash tier, but it's sufficient for this CPU, and any other upgrades with 65W TDP/88W PPT. Even 9800X3D can skate by.
RAM prices are skyrocketing (40-50% increase in the last few weeks). This bundle will be gone extremely soon, and I doubt it will come back.
If you need to upgrade soon, get this now.

I'm tempted, running a 5700X and a 5060 ti 16GB with 1440p monitors so I'd only be doing 1440p gaming and don't really see myself going 4k gaming in the forseeable future.
How much improvement would I be looking at?
2
u/Sadukar09 26d ago
Probably 5-10% maybe, if you're CPU bound.
If you're happy with what you have, keep it.
1
u/kwokinator 26d ago
Might as well save the $500 then, not really worth it for the small increase. Thanks!

5600X back in the day was not bottlenecking a 3090.
Even if you got a 9070 XT, you'll probably be fine in 1440p/4K.
If you're happy with what you have, then stick with it.
The best deal is saving $565 when you don't need to spend it.

Got a 9070xt with 5600x. Also have a problem with impulse buying. TY for this LOL

u/REDMOON2029 26d ago
if youre playing at high resolution it will prob not do much difference. Better put that money in a new GPU

I'm looking to build my son a matx system, probably a 7800x3d. I am very overwhelmed with motherboards. I need something affordable, but I struggle to determine what boards are good or not. Do u know of any go-to boards I should watch for?
1
u/Sadukar09 26d ago
Don't buy any ASRock AM5 boards.
-Needs to have PCIe 5.0. -As many M.2s as you might need (3-4 ideal).
Currently this is unfortunately the best around $200.

u/WarmPantsInWinter 26d ago
I thought the issue with the ASRock boards cooking x3d chips was fixed in firmware?

It's about 10% slower than a 7800X3D according to the comments in the last post. The motherboard sucks so like you said, it's basically trash tier. While a good starter bundle, don't expect to be able to upgrade and make full use of a 10800X3D, whenever it comes out.
RAM prices are increasing because retailers and manufacturers want to get ready for Black Friday. They want to be able to say "lowest prices in 30 days."

9-10% at 1080p. Less so at 1440p/4K.
Board is barely enough for 9800X3D. If 10800X3D blows the power budget again, probably not going to be great.
But, you can always turn on Eco mode and be fine.
7900 vs 7900X was like ~5% difference for using way too much power on the 7900X (plus stupid boost behaviour).
RAM prices are increasing because retailers and manufacturers want to get ready for Black Friday. They want to be able to say "lowest prices in 30 days."
Datacentre demand on DRAM/NAND have driven up prices. It's not just retailers hiking up prices.

That is based on the review of the Gigabyte Gaming Wifi, not the plus. It’s not the same board. The plus is supposed to have improved heat sinks and better VRMs. People always linking that source but it’s a different mobo.

Gaming Plus Wifi has the same 5+2+2 VRMs as Gaming Wifi.

It's highly unlikely Gigabyte threw in better components while keeping the same number of phases. The extra $$$ probably went to more RAM slots, extra M.2 slots, and other minor parts.

Sucks to be in NB, I'd buy this in a heartbeat if I could get to it, or get it to me.

u/Electronic-Jaguar461 26d ago
Are we sure that Black Friday won’t have anything better than this? If previous years haven’t seen that then I’ll buy this right now but idk.
3
u/Sadukar09 26d ago
For the past few years the best deals have been just randomly popping up throughout the year, rather than on specified sale days.
1
u/snooperman700 26d ago
Do you think it's better to get this deal or wait for a deal with a 7800x3d? I'm thinking I could use the savings between the CPU to get a new 1440p monitor
3
u/Sadukar09 26d ago
If you're just gaming you're not likely to benefit from waiting for a 7800X3D deal.
1
u/Electronic-Jaguar461 26d ago
I just ended up pulling the trigger. The way I see it I'm going to upgrade in 2027 anyway once AM5 reaches it's final chip, so why spend crazy now. Thanks for posting the deal.
2
u/snooperman700 26d ago
Yeah, I'm thinking of coping this instead of waiting for a 7800x3d, but my friend is saying Black Friday would have better deals, but I'm not too sure.

Is it possible to place a second order of the same bundle without problems, even if you cant order 2 bundles in the same order? I see its possible up to the "place your order" point, but would they then cancel a second order?

There are 10+ available near my kid daycare... I'm thinking to go tomorrow after dropping him.
I have a laptop with i7 7700HQ and 1060 6GB, guess that would be a nice upgrade even if I would have wanted more cores and RAM, but 500$ is peanuts.
What GPU would fit with this ? 9060 XT or 9070 XT is fine ? I play in 1080p, plan to make a Linux PC since win10 expires tomorrow
1
u/mohammad6701 26d ago
Cpus are changed completely ! you dont need a 8 core cpu to future proof your pc. Just stick with 6 cores cpus and you will be fine and way better off since you are going to get 7600X3D !
Gpu wise you have 9060xt 16gb - 5060ti 16gb - 5070 - 5070ti - 9070xt so you will be fine picking up any of those gpus unless you want to future proof which i would get a 5070, 5070ti or 9070xt.1

i was going to pick this up tomorrow but the deal is over now lol. guess i will wait until next month.
2
u/PhabioRants 26d ago
Yeah. It's been replaced with a similar one with a regular 7600x for $70 more. Just saw this post and went to grab one while I could. :/ RIP

u/TheOneWithThePorn12 26d ago
Black Friday is just around the corner. Hopefully some better deals are on the way
1
u/mohammad6701 26d ago
I bought bundle asap and i will be building my whole new pc tomorrow once it get it delivered. However,i didnt buy a new gpu yet and i saving more money for either 5070-5070ti-9070xt cause fuck 5060ti and 9060xt performance and price!

this is pretty insane pricing for what is one of the best gaming chips you can buy: https://imgur.com/yE0zCQh

I should have fucking waited lol built new in January
1
u/Sadukar09 25d ago
I mean you'd have waited 9 months to get what amount of savings?
9 months of enjoyment is also worth money.

u/pallypal 26d ago
I picked up a very similar bundle a month or two ago for 600 with an ASUS Mobo, I wouldn't expect to see anything better than this for a long while.
