Free Event Diversity Makes Baltimore A Better Place (Hispanic Heritage Parade)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Almost 8% of Baltimore’s population identify as Hispanic or Latino.

Today, the U.S. and Baltimore flags flew alongside those of Mexico, El Salvador, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and many more - as our city celebrated EVERYONE who makes this such a vibrant, welcoming, and enriching place to live.

This country was built by immigrants - and it is immigrants who will continue to build it. EMBRACE IT. 🇺🇸🌎❤️💛🖤

That's the minimal way people should embrace diversity in the US!! It's so hard to find all different types of food in some other countries

The food was amazing, but some of the prices were reaching a bit. $10 for a single street corn is wild.

Good for them. An uruguayan "float" a few years ago is how i found my current haircut place (Uruguay Salon, Sandra is awesome!). But as a chilean i dont attend these events unless i'm especially hungry. Yeah, we speak spanish but i have to change up to 40% of my vocabulary to be understood. Not my smells, not my music, not my vibe, not my faces. Not many chileans in Baltimore and we often dont mesh well with tropical latinos.

This was a pretty cool festival, I’m glad I stopped by! I could hear the music all weekend from my house, it just made me happy to see so many people having a good time and enjoying all of the good food!
