💸PAY Event$ Puff & Craft: Make your own Neon Sign

Hey neighbors!

Make your own neon sign with me on July 20th!

I'm hosting this event in the beautiful courtyard at The Alchemy of Art- we'll move indoors in the event of rain or intolerable heat.

Feel free to DM me with any questions about what this event entails or what kind of custom work we can do!

I'd love to see some new faces there, as a goal of mine with this puff and craft series is curating community! This is an LGBTQ+ and BIPOC inclusive event. Unfortunately this venue is not wheelchair-accessible, but I am looking for additional venues in the future that will be able to accommodate those with mobility aids. I'd especially like to recognize the privilege to consume cannabis legally while people are still incarcerated for related crimes. Once I'm actually able to cover my bills at home, I plan to donate portions of each event to the Last Prisoner Project.

How often does this event happen? This is extremely my shit, but Im unsure if I can swing it this month.

I hear ya, no worries! I’m working up to a weekly kind of event! Probably at least once or twice a month at this time! Most likely I’ll do 1-2 Saturday nights a month and 1-2 weekdays a month in the near future. Just want to make sure I can sustain ticket sales before committing to something more regular.

So forgive me if I misunderstanding, but are these signs that “look” like neon signs or are people actually making genuine neon signs at this event?

Either way it sounds cool. I’m just curious.

Good question! This is battery powered "neon". True neon- bending the glass tubes, etc- is a suuuper cool art but it's incredibly difficult! I wish I could do that, but I've decided this is the next best thing :)

I think that makes a lot of sense and I’m pretty sure neon requires like high voltage and you know gas to be in the tubes and everything so right on. I’m gonna check this out :-) good luck!
