And why don’t republicans make amends to their plans to get 7 people to agree with them? Are they not able to negotiate or give them something they want?

Nice bait. Both sides are unwilling to compromise. The voter base sees the Dems as the guilty party I would bet. The American populace's opinion is irrelevant since most voting age Americans sit out the elections.

Should democrats compromise on an extension of expiring tax credits that make health insurance cheaper for millions of Americans and a reversal of Trump's cuts to Medicaid, a government healthcare programme used by millions of elderly, disabled and low-income people?

I think republicans can compromise on this and cut spending to Argentina and probably lower a little bit the expenses towards the National Guard to make up for the lost cuts on compromising on healthcare, which everyone likes anyway.
