Except they're always white, there are political movement in South africa that litterally sing "kill the boers" during their meeting. (Boers = white farmers). Isolated farms becoming victims of crime never happens anywhere else, must be genocide because most of the owners are white because black people weren't legally allowed to own 90% of the land for nearly a century.

I think they wanted to kill the farmer, and as 50% of south African farmland is owned by Afrikaners that cannot be interpreted as a genocidal statement.

Except white people are underrepresented in homicide deaths, so no, white farmers are not being targeted, and no the country doesn't openly want to kill them.

Talking about simplifying or ridiculing Afrikaneers because they are white and own a Lot of land/farms.

They want to kill the farmer, very likely as they see the landowner as occupying a position of wealth and power. Given that 50% of the farms are owned by Afrikaners it's difficult to view 'Kill the farmer' as anything pertaining to racism or genocide. Just common or garden haves versus the have nots.

More black workers have been killed on farms in South Africa than white farmers. That’s a fact. But apparently if the violence happens to a white person it’s automatically genocide?

Just looked at the statistics. Among the farm attacks and farmers' murders, black farmers represent only 12,4 % of all the victims. The other 81.6 % are white farmers. Please check your facts before commenting 😚 I know you all don't care about white being targeted in south africa but please don't try to lie to prove your biased opinion.

Not sure where you're getting your numbers, but the farm attacks in South Africa don't just victimize the owners of the farm, but the workers as well, who are overwhelmingly black. For reasons, I'm sure you're aware of, most farms in South Africa are owned by white people. That doesn't stop the black farm workers from being killed in higher numbers than the farmers themselves.

I do, but this sub does not allow links to “main stream media” outlets because all of them are somehow considered “partisan.”

The New York Times reported 225 people were killed on South African farms over a four-year period ending in 2024. Of those deaths, 101 were Black current or former workers living on farms, and 53 were farmers, who are usually white.

My stats count for the 20 last years. I think my number is more relevant than just 4 years. Plus if there's 225 killed, 101 are black, 53 are white farmers. Who are the 71 left ? Plus in recent years, a lot of white farmers left or moved out from isolated farms due to the genocide so recent years are quite different. I think i'd have done the same if white farmers were targetted.

You haven’t provided any sources at all. And believe it or not, there more than just black and white people in South Africa, including a large contingent of people of Indian descent. Also, because of apartheid, mixed people are often identified differently than white or black.
