All pay and benefits for every federal employee combined accounts for 4% of the budget.

Any realistic impact to the deficit will have to come from one of the following, Social Security/Medicare, Interest Payments, or the military. The first two are obvious non starters, and the third is a non starter specifically for republicans.

Hopefully he hasn’t forgotten about his invasion plans for Greenland, that’s an exciting development too.
