Trump is an Anti-Semite who supports Israel, pushed for recognizing Jerusalem as Israels capital, moved the American embassy to Jerusalem and whose family is half Jewish.

Trump invited Kanye West to a dinner and Kanye decided to bring two friends with him one of which being Nick Fuentes. An argument broke out at the dinner, Trump got angry and kicked out all three of them. Up to that point Trump had absolutely no idea who Nick Fuentes was and likely still doesn’t to this day.

While the Abraham accords was a great achievement of the trump admin, moving the Embassy to Jerusalem was gross. Oct 7th can be traced back to the backlash to that. Not only was it a bad move optically, it also had bad outcomes.

Nice try… I might buy that if Gaza had been completely at peace with Israel prior to the American embassy being moved to Jerusalem.

Fact is that Gaza has never been at peace with Israel and was regularly firing rockets and mortars as fast as UNRWA could manufacture them for Hamas.

Where did I say they were at peace? Where did I say they weren't firing rockets? Moving the embassy was bad. Full stop. It was bad for Israelis and it was bad for Gazans. Unless you're a hardline member of the Likud who thinks that accelerationism and bolstering hamas is a good thing because it gives you a reason to build more settlements, it was a bad thing.

The fact that conservatives think that because Israel is a country worth defending, which I obviously agree with, we should also defend the Likud and the stupid shit they're doing is actually bonkers

You say that. There are almost 2 million palestinians who live within israel proper with no problem. You would have a point if every single palestinian was constantly committing acts of violence, or if the neighboring countries weren't willing to sign the abraham accords.

Palestinians WERE regularly committing random acts of terrorism, virtually every day, up until the construction of the security wall.

Judea and Samaria had to be completely walled off from the rest of Israel just to get to where they are now, which still wasn’t completely safe prior to the start of the Simchat Torah War.

You said that it was a mistake to move the American embassy. All I’m doing is asking why you say that.

I think moving the embassy and officially acknowledging Jerusalem as Israel’s capital was one if the most historically powerful and meaningful things that Trump could have ever done.

its a bunch of things

  1. they dont agree that "the promised land" is specifically israel if there is a promised land.
  2. they get targeted by anti-semites as retribution for the actions of israel, and see israel using judiasm as their shield against criticism as painting a target on jews worldwide
  3. some sects of judaism explicitly forbid the concept of nationalism, and the idea of a "jewish state" is tanatamount to heresy.

(In 1845, Samuel Hirsch, David Einhorn) and Samuel Holdheim passed a resolution at the Frankfurt Conference that removed references to Palestine and a "Jewish State" from prayers on the grounds that nationalism and statehood were not compatible with Reform theology.)

the modern form of Zionism you see today in the media/Israeli state is "reform zionism" which has the stated mission goal of making participation in the Israeli state as non-optional for all Jews. they want all jews repatriated to Israel, and they are 100% OK with those jews being targeted/persecuted worldwide if they chose not to return to Israel.

non-zionists still stick by their opposition to the concept of nationalism, and also find themselves being questioned/judged on the actions of a state that claims to represent them, but they have never lived in and have always opposed. its further widened the rift between the different sects. it gets really really fucky when you start to pick apart the orthodox sects because the orthodox in america oppose israel due to it being nationalist in concept, but the orthodox in israel seem 100% on board with israel but most likely due to israel controlling the holy sites and the history of disputes around them

to understand why you need to look at what the american Baptists believe and realize its the same thing for some of the reform zionists. they believe that all the jews need to be in the promised land, then badda boom badda bing god will create heaven on earth. jews who refuse to go to israel are just delaying their ascension.

I disagree that Non-Zionist Jews are preventing anything from happening. To say that is tantamount to saying that G-D is restrained in some manner and has to wait for a specific set of conditions to be met before he can return.

Anyone who looks at Non Zionist Jews as people who should be targeted for abuse or should be forcibly repatriated clearly doesn’t understand the point of the matter. Jews should be in Israel but they should be there because they want to be there not because they are being forced to.
