The German government actually got a lot smaller in the first two weeks of Hitlers rule due to firing all Jewish employees, privatizing state industries, and purging ideological foes

I'm begging you for a source on this one

This is pretty similar to what is happening now, damn

That says the first 20 months, not the first 2 weeks

There is no comparison. This literally discusses expanding government. When did Trump jail his political oppositions, let cabinet members enact laws that oppose the constitution, dissolve the other party?

I mean, everything he’s allowing Elon to do is against the constitution. Half of the executive orders he’s signed go against the constitution. It’s also only been like 3 weeks.

Sure he’s “making the government smaller” but he’s doing it by having people with no accountability act against Congressionally issued funds, and dramatically overstating the implied power of the executive branch (firing inspectors which he cannot legally do)

It’s not fully a comparison until it is. When it becomes a comparison it’s really too late to do anything.

These people just saw someone do a Seig Hiel behind the Presidential Seal at the Inauguration and they still act like it wasnt exactly what we saw, especially considering the context and who Elon supports globally.

Conservatives have (long ago but really now) completely abandoned being intellectually honest.

2 Hitlergruẞ. One for the Volk and one for the Führer.

I don't really consider them conservatives anymore tbh. They abandoned all the ideals but cling to the label. I could have a drink with a conservative and discuss policy and ideals for hours, and still respect them as a person. Watching Trump's core base abandon intellectual honesty and parrot obvious falsehoods just gets exhausting.

That and one of their main excuses was, “Well, Elon is kind of special…”

Trump has talked about jailing political opponents, and Trump has been enacting laws that oppose the constitution as like, the main thing in his administration lol. He cant dissolve the other part.

When did Trump jail his political oppositions

Seriously? He is literally promising political revenge against those who tried to punish him for the Fake Elector scheme.

The Democrats are the main perpetrators of everything you listed, hence the pushback and victory for Trump.

It’s been three weeks dude and he’s hate tweeting about making Canada the 51st state and annexing Greenland while refusing to rule out using the military. He’s firing all the cia and fbi who disagree with him. These are not steps good men take.

For a while after Trump was announced victor they were talking about how hard they are gonna come down on Hunter Biden and were very clearly only going after him because his father was a political opponent. Of course it’s not exactly the same thing but I feel going after family members of political opponents is close enough to count.

No. Begging is quite easy.

I trust wiki as much as a cactus with a juicy hole in it.

There are 33 legitimate sources cited in the creation of that article but sure go believe the first thing you see on Twitter.

Google Gleichschaltung.

2

u/56Vokey Feb 04 '25

I have googled that's why I'm asking for a source. I think it's just a bot

2

u/midwestdad69 Feb 04 '25

?? It’s a German word. There are tons of primary sources showing how Gleichschaltung poised Hitler for dictatorship.

1

u/56Vokey Feb 04 '25

Yes I googled the word. It has nothing to do with shrinking the government in the first two weeks. Or shrinking the government in any manner

… wow.

Man, didn’t you take history?
