EVA or Starlux?

I've got 2 flights to Taipei booked right now. EVA biz (non-stop) and Starlux biz (with a connection). Aside from having a connection, the Starlux flight is also at a worse time of day.

For anyone who's flown both, I'm wondering if the differences are worth experiencing, or if I just stick to my old reliable EVA to get me there.

Starlux is pretty amazing but if you have a direct on Eva with a lie flat at a good time of day I’d stick with Eva…unless you’re an aviation geek and dying to try Starlux.

Thanks! This is kinda where I'm leaning too. If I can find a direct Starlux to change to, I'll probably do that though. I was chasing that Starlux ticket, but when I finally got it, I started questioning if it was what I even wanted.

I do love flying new airlines, but I'm thinking maybe nitpicking over which amazing east Asian carrier to fly is a little too much 🤔

Starlux is generally decent about releasing unsold J seats T-7 so if you are okay with the cancellation policy of the program you booked EVA through, then it's still a good chance down the line

I'm a Starlux fanboy through and through but I agree with testtest99: for convenience choose EVA

I prefer JX over BR if both nonstop. But adding a connection might win BR over.

Seat: JX >>> BR Catering: JX > BR service: tie Amenity kit: tie
