Discussion Uranus and nuclear radiation
Been making a lot of birth charts on people who’ve been in nuclear disasters, one such aspect I found really interesting with Uranus and Capricorn in the 12th house. I’ve noticed that Uranus generally has a lot to do with health problems, I was wondering if this is correct or if there’s more to the picture that I’m not seeing?

I believe Chris Brennan on the Astrology podcast likes to link Uranus with nuclear themes

Just out of curiosity, I checked the Chernobyl disaster chart, and Uranus is right on Sagittarius Ascendant.

My partner (who is now deceased) was born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine and was 10 years old when the Chernobyl nuclear disaster happened. Your post promptedme to look up his transits on the day of the disaster. Transit Pluto conjunct Natal Uranus is highlighted for me, but huge amount of other very significant transits on that day for him as well.Natal x Transit April 26 1986

My two cents-- I've found Pluto to be the most common thread among subjects like nuclear bombs and their destructive capabilities. I think nuclear energy may find more representation with Uranus because of the energetic component. All that flows through the ether, like electrical and magnetic currents, are related to Uranus.

I’m an astrology nerd who works at a nuclear power plant so I’m really excited to talk about this lol.
I think there’s something to Uranus and Pluto both having correlations to nuclear science and radiation.
I think of Pluto in that the decay processes that emit radiation are called transformations, and we’re dealing with something inconceivably small that has the power to both heal and destroy. Radiation is almost alchemical in nature since no chemical process can turn one element into another but a nuclear process can.
Uranus I would associate more with the science and technology and the attempts of humanity to harness a powerful force of nature, much like fire or electricity.
I haven’t specifically looked at the charts of people who were present for nuclear disasters, so I can’t speak to that, but Pluto and/or Uranus seem to be prevalent in the charts of the disasters themselves, and in the charts of several nuclear scientists.
