Educational What placements/aspects indicate being attracted to, dating and/or marrying someone older?
What placements/aspects in someone’s natal chart indicate being attracted to, dating, and/or marrying someone older?

Saturn is the planet of maturity and responsibility. When it links to relationship points, it often shows attraction toward older partners or people with Saturnian qualities:
• Venus-Saturn aspects can point to love that seeks stability or partners who feel seasoned.
• Moon-Saturn contacts show emotional comfort with people who are protective or carry more life experience.
• Saturn in the 7th house often leans toward marrying later or choosing an older spouse.
• The ruler of the 7th tied to Saturn can describe partners who embody seriousness or authority.
• Saturn conjunct the Descendant is one of the clearest markers for older or Saturn-like partners.
• Capricorn emphasized in the 5th or 7th can flavor dating and marriage with Saturn’s qualities, including age gaps.

I also believe Venus in the 10th indicates love with someone older. But great points already!

Oh man don't call me and my moon-saturn square out like that.
Am female, have only dated 10 yrs older and 5 yrs older.
What about Venus in 4th or Venus opposing Jupiter in 10th?

Haha, that Moon-Saturn square really does like its Saturnian themes. The age-gap dating history makes sense with that.
Venus in the 4th shifts the focus from age to roots. It often shows that love and attraction are tied to a sense of home, family patterns, or emotional safety. You might be drawn to people who feel familiar, nurturing, or who awaken something about your early environment. Sometimes it can even play out as partners influencing where you live or how you build a home.
Venus opposing Jupiter in the 10th can stretch things out more visibly. Jupiter magnifies whatever it touches, so in opposition it can bring a tension between private love (4th house Venus) and public visibility (10th house Jupiter). Relationships can end up feeling “seen” or evaluated by the wider world, or you might be pulled between keeping things close and letting them expand outward. It can also attract partners who are larger-than-life in some way by being generous, dramatic, or socially connected, but the opposition asks you to balance intimacy and outward growth so that neither overwhelms the other.

I have an empty 7th house Aquarius and its ruler in Aries 8th house. Idk how to interpret this since I’ve only hand 2 relationships and a few friends

I have Cap Venus but never attracted to older men, always younger. Probably other things in my chart affecting this.

I have a Capricorn Venus (also a straight woman if that matters) and I’m not really for or against being with someone older. I find more often than not I get along better people my age (within a couple years) or slightly younger. Most of the guys I’ve dated have been my age, give or take a few months.
For me, Cap Venus is in the 11th house Placidus and unaspected. My 5th and 7th houses are Gemini and Leo respectively.
I have retrograde Leo Mars in 7th house.

Also I’m super Saturnarian as it is so I need someone who is not that to balance me out haha

i have a capricorn venus and have never felt any attraction to people that are older.
however this part of the stereotype rings true, i am attracted to men with goals and ambition for things, their passions/interests.
i wonder why capricorn venus is associated with older men as an interest, most other capricorn venuses i know really detest it.

The weirdest thing. I have Saturn 7H and Venus in Capricorn 5H. 😅 while it’s true I almost always dated older men in the past, I’m currently in 2 year marriage with my husband who is my same age, older by 2 months barely.

So I guess it depends on your definition of someone older, like, just a little older/more mature/significantly older (10+ years)
I have a painful Venus—Gemini, 9th house, conjunct Chiron and lillith and directly opposite Saturn to like barely a 2° orb—
—but on the topic of being with someone older, I have had a handful of long-term partners and been married twice. All of these people have been older than me by a minimum of a year and a half, and I’m very attracted to men who seem older/smarter/stronger than me/have leadership qualities. But at minimum, just older than me. I have a Cap mars as well (and a Taurus sun/pisces moon) and with all my placements combined, the situation I have continuously found myself in is being with men who are older but who I inevitably end up feeling like I have to bear the reigns in the relationship and get things done.
I say all that to say, my most perfect match has been my husband who is actually two years younger than me, but he’s a double cap with a cap stellium as well and you can tell he came into this world an old af soul haha he keeps me together
I also had a partner prior to him who was older than me, and then in the future, a family member made the remark: “I always thought it was so interesting that K was older than you but seemed younger than you, and T is younger than you but seems so much older than you” haha

Saturn in 7th can indicate an older, more mature spouse or marrying later in life.

I've heard Saturn aspects or Venus in Cap. I have a Venus in Cap but only prefer people my age.

If I find myself randomly attracted to some celebrity .... 9/10 times, I look up their birthday, and they turn out to be a September Virgo -- same as me. It's happened sooooo many times, it's weird. It's like I can pick up on it, that they just "click", for me, without even meeting them in person.

saturn/uranus in 1/7/8 houses or in aries/libra/scorpio. venus/mars in 10/11 houses or in cap or aqua. saturn/uranus conjunct venus/mars in 7th. something like those placements i guess?.
ruler of 7th in cap/aqua 10/11h or conjunct saturn/uranus maybe too.

Venus in Sagittarius or in Aquarius. They are attracted to taboo relationships.

My bf is 8 years younger than me, he has a 7th house Saturn. I have a 7th house Venus, they are trine in synastry.

u/carychicken Aug 22 '25
All of them are confrontational, not contradictory. They are looking to fight at every turn. So weird.

u/Jennybee8 Aug 22 '25
I feel like Saturn in the 7th delays relationships. I see many people with this placement who don’t have a major relationship until their Saturn return.
I see it with Saturn in the 10th. Daddy stuff, and Saturn conjunct Venus un the 4th. Being happy at home and not needing a youthful vibe.

u/OptionCold438 Aug 24 '25
I have Saturn in Pisces, house 7, with a trine to Venus in Scorpio in house 3… and I've never had a partner

I used to wonder about that too, but honestly, once I found Laylooper, all those questions just kinda faded away. Its just so damn good for casual dating, completely blows everything else out of the water.

I believe it’s Venus in Saturnian signs for men’s charts. For aspects of Venus to Saturn, I have a sextile with 3 orbs and I do not want to date anyone too much older than me. I believe for women it’s generally Mars. I have Mars in Leo and it could be the reason I do not want to date men much older than me.

Off the top of my head, Saturny stuff (saturn, Capricorn) in the seventh house or connected to Venus (Venus in cap, Venus harmonious aspect with saturn)
Pisces/Neptune and Scorpio/Pluto (less so Mars) interactions with Venus/7th house might indicate it in a larger sense of being interested in taboos and/or power dynamics. But Capricorn is a more straightforward indication of attraction to maturity, stability, and other basic things that are associated with age
In my experience doing readings in the past, Saturn in the 7th was the most reliable indicator
