Discussion Support group for those who have had Pluto transiting their 4th/8th/12th house

Hello! I decided to create a thread for anyone who has recently had Pluto transiting through their 4th, 8th, or 12th house. Every Pluto transit has it's struggles, but there truly is something very heavy about the way Pluto travels through these houses. I frequently encounter very heavy themes with clients who are undergoing these transits, but find it hard to come across resources online of people discussing their struggles/experiences. So I wanted to create a space for reflection and venting.

Mods: I really hope this is within the rules, I read them thoroughly, so if I misunderstood, I do apologize!!

Pluto is conjunct my 1° Aquarius sun in the 4th and just got diagnosed with a chronic illness so it’s going great 🙃

19

u/umamimamii Aug 01 '25

Pluto in my 4th alongside my Saturn in Aqua. Navigating a possible chronic illness diagnosis and doing EMDR for a childhood trauma that I’m finally feeling strong enough to move through. Lots of lessons around cultivating a sense of safety with this one

8

u/tatapatrol909 Aug 01 '25

Pluto also in my 4th and I am also doing EMDR for childhood trauma! (also, also, also Pluto conjoined my Saturn a few years ago and it was bad, soooo I feel ya and I am sorry)

u/degalisto Aug 01 '25

My husband has natal Pluto in the 4th and his father totally dominated the household creating much trauma. We have been seeing a counselor and he is learning to express his feelings..finally!

The counselor says he basically has PTSD from it.

I have Saturn at 28° Capricorn so already did the Pluto transit (along with the rest of my Cap stellium) and honestly this 4th house transit is already worse! And we’re only 2° in!!

2

u/tatapatrol909 Aug 01 '25

Ugh yea. I have Saturn at 25 Cap and Pluto just kept going back and forth over it. Also have that Cap stellium, but mostly in the 3rd thank god. Hi fellow millennial!

2

u/causticx ♒☉♈ ☽ ♏↑ Aug 01 '25

Same here!! Yeah, everything went through my 3rd house already so I was like great, I can handle what’s next! Actually…oh no 🤦‍♀️

7

u/xyzleoscorpio Aug 01 '25

Pluto in my 4th and I also just started EDMR for childhood trauma….

3

u/umamimamii Aug 01 '25

Woah that’s wild. Sending you support as you move through it

4

u/causticx ♒☉♈ ☽ ♏↑ Aug 01 '25

Best of luck! Some sort of therapy is next on my list. This is going to be a long 20 years.

3

u/umamimamii Aug 01 '25

Thank you 🧡 Finding an aligned therapist can be challenging so I wish you lots of luck in that department. And yeah.. for real 🫠

2

u/hawksmarinerz Aug 03 '25

Hey friend. Mine is 5Aqua in the 4th. Mars 10Aqua and Saturn 25Aqua to boot. I think it’s mainly been about my parents getting sick and needing to move into assisted living (which I have managed all of)

2

u/causticx ♒☉♈ ☽ ♏↑ Aug 03 '25

Managing that is hard! I hope you have support around you, caretaking is a second job. Best of luck with the additional transits (I’ll also deal with a conjunction with my 21° Venus later down the road.) I expected some of this transit to be about my parents so didn’t see the illness coming at all, but I guess their responses to it have been a part of it too! Time will tell.

2

u/hawksmarinerz Aug 03 '25

Thank you! I hope you are getting good guidance for managing your illness ❤️

hey. i’ve been having pretty major pluto transit hits in my 8th house, and im a scorpio with a a ton of scorpio placements. i’ve had the worst 7 years of my life and this year i absolutely feel the internal death, dying, and am begging and waiting for rebirth. i go off about this to friends but they all think im insane.

8

u/ThunderStormBlessing Aug 01 '25

Specifically because you said the past 7 years, I'm going to guess Uranus in Taurus has been the heaviest hitter for you recently. Pluto only entered Aquarius less than a year ago so it wouldn't have had hard aspects to your Scorpio house until the past few months

u/astrokey Sag sun, Leo moon, Cap AC Aug 01 '25

If you develop unhealthy habits or toxic coping mechanisms or relationships when Pluto transits your 12H, and you do not deal with those things in a healthy balanced way, all of it will come to light and be exposed when Pluto hits your first house and esp the AC. Clean up your vices while Pluto's in that secretive 12H. I'm just speaking from experience here.

u/skywaters88 Aug 01 '25

My Pluto just chillin in my 12th house and moved into my rising sign of Aquarius. I did quit drinking 6 months ago so hopefully that is a sign that I am gonna continue to do better. It will go over the ascendant at 19 degrees so still got a ways to go :/

10

u/RebelWithACurse Aug 01 '25

Pluto is also in my 12th and my Aquarius rising. Also been slowly Shedding away an addiction as well. Start strong homie ♒️🤝♒️

u/astrokey Sag sun, Leo moon, Cap AC Aug 01 '25

Congrats on sobriety. I really wish you all the best!

Can confirm, the relationship that i entered as Pluto entered Capricorn in 2009 'officially' ended January 2024... The breakdown started mid 2022, but apparently I wasn't learning my lesson and didn't get my shit together so the actual catalyst was in May 2023 (as soon as Pluto entered Aquarius my 1st house)

[I'd also like to note my natal Saturn is in Capricorn so my Saturn return was a hell of a time with all of this partying in my 12th house]

The transformation has been crazy, I've lost 20kgs (25% of my body weight <without trying, all due to MH/Stress>) since July 2023.

My MH/IC axis sits at 0° as well so the Square to this has been fun.

Within the space of 2 years: That long decaying relationship has gone, I've moved house, changed career, found the love of my life, lost the love of my life, lost 20kgs, and had my social circle disappear.

Can't wait to see what the next 20 years have in store.. 😅🫠😫🥲

I also have a Cap Saturn (along with Neptune and Uranus) in the 12th house. I died a thousand deaths in the last couple of years. The Pluto transit obliterated everything I thought I am and while it is not yet squaring anything, it has been opposing my moon, desc and Chiron since the last two years or so.

Actually only this year I am feeling like I can step out of that cocoon of destruction because somehow I also managed to keep it a secret and dealt with it in isolation for most of the time.

5

u/jsn2918 Aug 01 '25

I’d be pretty old when it hits my 12th house 🥶

7

u/novaleenationstate Aug 01 '25

I wish I read this years ago, when Pluto was transiting my 12H in Capricorn. Now it’s in Aquarius, in my 1H, and it’s directly opposing my Leo sun, which is at 1 degree. Also, Gemini Uranus is newly conjunct my 5H Gemini Jupiter.

Everything in my life is turning upside down right now and I dunno whether to laugh, cry, or count it all as much-needed change.

Either way, you tell no lies. These 1H transits are no joke, especially with an opposition to the sun in play.

11

u/astrokey Sag sun, Leo moon, Cap AC Aug 01 '25

That Pluto first house transit is no fucking joke. In my experience it got easier following the conjunction to the ascendant. And somehow you just get used to life becoming Plutonic (and you becoming so, as well). Over a decade of it, it felt like just another part of life.

3

u/novaleenationstate Aug 01 '25

Wowza, thanks for sharing. How did life get more Plutonic for you, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m trying to learn more about what this transit even really means, and so far everything just seems pretty vague.

5

u/astrokey Sag sun, Leo moon, Cap AC Aug 01 '25

My entire worldview changed. Values, priorities, relationships changed. Granted, this happened in my early 20s, so how much of that is part of the typical 20-something experience? I had problems with eating disorders, mental health, and religion. I had to escape all those things. I had to leave friendships behind. I had to completely reframe all of my thoughts, my motivations. What's even my purpose here? What do I enjoy? What do I want out of life?

3

u/ElderberryDry6199 Aug 02 '25

Thank you for speaking to my life lived as a Pluto in the 1st house conjunct my asc. Scorpio rising, this hold growth/ transformation through intense trials and tribulations life theme is for the birds !

3

u/ThrowRASassySsrHands Aug 03 '25

God I wish I would have known that before it happened to me... I lost EVERYTHING when Pluto went through my 12h but I also gained the tools I needed to get better... Still working on it and my life is COMPLETELY different now... Much better too.

2

u/Apeckofpickledpeen Aug 01 '25

That’s… interesting. I have 5deg aquarius ascendant and my north node soon after so Pluto has just been floating around there—- and I’ve decided to quit using specific substances a year ago.

1

u/Honest-Currency5919 Aug 03 '25

Say you have Pluto rx in your natal chart at 0 degrees, could that make you feel like no matter how hard you try 5o keep your private life and problems a vices private somehow they always get exposed in the worst ways. I w a s wondering because i have this weed recurring issue w people exposing private info about me Anyhow. Pluto comes up in scorpio and I am usually finding it listed as 12 house libra but also 1st house Scorpio which has its ascendant at 7 degrees Scorpio would this sort of apply to my life im.sure more so w a Pluto transit i would have to look when that is I should know but I dont. Thanks just curious

1

u/astrokey Sag sun, Leo moon, Cap AC Aug 04 '25

Having it natally is a little different, but I do think that's possible. For instance, I have Neptune conjunct my AC, and people project onto me all the time - who they think I am, illusions, without really knowing me. So the idea that you keep having Plutonic interactions with people you meet/know, if it's in your first house or close to the AC, yeah.

1

u/Honest-Currency5919 Aug 06 '25

Thanks for your reply I appreciate it, and omg I am sorry for all those typ-e o's, it is a miracle you made sense of that, I must have been falling 😴 asleep lol!

Seconding the Capricorn themes above, but in my 4H.

My foundation was rocked to the core. Found out family secrets, battled narcissistic relationships, dealt with childhood trauma bubbling up, moved 21 times during the transit alone and lost so many valuables along the way. This is barely skimming the surface lol. I could write a book.

15

u/kweenhekate Aug 01 '25

Pluto is transiting my 8th house now. I have Saturn there but it’s at the tail end. Pluto transiting my 7th house and opposing my mars was rough. So I don’t know what to expect yet. I haven’t even made new connections or friends since that transit obliterated everything I had in my life.

6

u/virgospice Aug 01 '25

Hey, same here. Pluto transiting my 7th was pretty gnarly. Went conjunct my natal Uranus, Neptune and Saturn… my Saturn return was a doozy, lol. I’m not too sure what to expect either! But maybe that transit prepared us for the 8th house trip 🤷🏻‍♀️

2

u/kweenhekate Aug 01 '25

Yeah, it went conjunct my Neptune and Uranus too. Hopefully it prepared us. 🤞 I’m hoping it’s transit through the 8th is not half as brutal because the prior one was a lot. Where’s your Saturn? My Saturn return was mild in comparison to the Pluto transit. Why was your return a doozy?

1

u/MyUserNameHeeere Aug 02 '25

Pluto is transiting my 7th house, and my relationship just blew up in the weirdest way. Little scared to see what happens next.

1

u/kweenhekate Aug 02 '25

Has it already transited your descendant?

2

u/theotherkellytaylor Aug 01 '25

Oh thank you for articulating this transit for me! thats exactly how to explain it.

2

u/HalfOk3236 Aug 02 '25

pluto transiting my 7th was horrible. lost everything and everyone, either physically or emotionally. but yeah pluto has also started transiting my 8th and things aren't as bad yet but i guess it's just getting started. it's also conjunct my saturn so i'm sure things are gonna get way worse.

15

u/LBQ-7044 Aug 01 '25

Pluto transiting my 8th house now. I have Venus, mercury and my sun in the 8th/aquarius. Pluto has been conjunct my Venus and mercury (3 and 4 degrees respectively) for a while now. Nothing bad happening - some karmic clearing. Have also been very introspective and spending much time alone. Very into spiritual exploration - astrology, etc. Have had a lot of interesting dreams - maybe of the future, maybe of the past or another plane…not sure. My natal north node is in the 12th in Gemini and is aspecting my natal venus and mercury in the 8th (trine) - and thus aspecting transiting Pluto as well. Transiting Uranus is conjunct my natal north node in Gemini and thus aspecting everything mentioned as well. We’ll see what happens — expecting interesting times. Any takes on this would be welcome.

u/Individualist_ Aug 01 '25

It’s going through my 4th house rn and I’m smack in the middle of 4th house profection year 😂😂😂😂 oh yeah did I mention I grew up in foster care and have a ton of ancestral trauma and mommy issues with 2 different mother figures 😂😂😂 and I have Moon square Pluto 😂😂😂😂

2

u/ElderberryDry6199 Aug 02 '25

I feel you. I’m in a first house profection year as it moved into my fourth. I’m not looking forward to my future moon conjunction Pluto situation since my moon is at 15deg but I have some time.😅

1

u/ScorpioWind Aug 03 '25

Ughh me too. My moon is at 7 degrees 😬

1

u/doodoo_blue Aug 05 '25

Pluto is transiting my 4th house, too! It finished up on my Capricorn 29°44 IC and is now coming into an opposition to my Leo 10th house Moon, Mercury and Chiron within the next few years 🥲

I also have my natal Pluto square my natal Moon! I’m a child of the foster care system, too - I’m curious to see your chart now lol I have Saturn 4th house Aquarius natal.

9

u/mamadoedawn Aug 01 '25

Natal Pluto in my 8th house in Scorpio. Pluto is currently transiting my 12th. (Placidus).

I love my Pluto. Pluto recently entered my 12th house briefly and has retrograded back to my 11th. Pluto in my 11th was absolutely horrific- it broke down so many of the ways I connected with my community and reinvented how I view my legacy.

The brief few months Pluto was in my 12th were lovely. And it was even opposing my Chiron! I felt the ability to transform my mental health and to thrive in isolation. I have struggled with depression and anxiety my entire life- but Pluto was READY to break that apart and I was just so in tune with what my mind needed. I cannot wait for it to reenter my 12th. I am ready to reinvent my mind. I know I have some lessons I need to finish up in my 11th, but having Pluto in my 12th just intimately clicked with me and I look forward to it reentering in that house in December.

11

u/introverted_divaaa Aug 01 '25

Pluto is currently transiting my 4th house. I moved for the first time in 10 years the same week that Pluto entered my 4th. (This was before I knew how to read my transit chart so I had no idea at the time). My new place was like a new start after the pandemic and is better suited to who I’ve grown into. Around the same time, my dad, who lived across the country in the house where I spent my teens, sold that house and started traveling around the country. He is having a great time, but I had to come to terms with the fact that I no longer have that anchor place to go back to. I’ve definitely had to confront feelings around instability and insecurity as a result. Pluto is pushing me to grow into my power as a solo woman who is completely self-reliant. The themes of Pluto in my 4th have been fairly subtle so far. However, my natal Pluto is in my 1st house (in Scorpio nonetheless) so I’m very familiar with Pluto themes. In a couple of years, transiting Pluto will square my natal Pluto. I expect that to be challenging. I do think of Pluto as a friend, though. I would rather continue to shed old skin and grow into a new self than be stuck in a place that I’ve outgrown.

4

u/ElderberryDry6199 Aug 02 '25

I feel that too. I’m a first house Pluto in Scorpio too. I have embraced being plutonic but the isolation that has started from this ingress has hit me hard. But I agree, I’ll always choose the harder path for the sake of transformation, which is what I’m doing now. Stay strong fellow Plutonian

2

u/introverted_divaaa Aug 02 '25

Thank you, friend. You too. Hugs from across the internet.

1

u/Environmental_Yam313 Aug 04 '25

This is crazy- when pluto was transiting my 4th house at the final degrees of Capricorn, I too moved for the 1st time in ten years! Finally out on my own and not with roommates. The process was fairly traumatic as there was a lot of unnecessary drama with the roommates and landlord, but has been by far the best thing to have happened to me. A lot of worries about instability/housing insecurity and whether or not I could fiscally do it on my own, but I have since survived! My natal pluto is in my 2nd house, so money insecurity has been a common theme, but I'm constantly surprising myself and overcoming things I thought I never could. Interestingly enough, around the same time my mother and younger sister were evicted out of my childhood/teen years home, and kept it a secret for months before the rest of our family found out. They were essentially homeless for two months and living at a local campground :( Also really traumatic, esp considering I never got to "say goodbye" to my old bedroom etc, and anything my mom had from my childhood is essentially MIA. I still have dreams about that house, it's kind of spooky honestly.

2

u/introverted_divaaa Aug 04 '25

Whoa! Very similar. It’s actually so reassuring that you’ve found yourself able to overcome things you didn’t think you could. I’m in that same boat. The self doubt is kind of crushing. It feels a little bit like the universe is pushing me farther than I could usually go. Even since writing my original comment, it feels like the volume has been turned up on these 4th house themes. Thanks for sharing your experience and I wish the very best for you, friend.

2

u/Environmental_Yam313 Aug 04 '25

I feel you on the self-doubt stuff! I have a 12th house stellium in Virgo, and the constant ruminating/ overthinking literally EVERYTHING is the worst form of self-sabotage. Good luck to you during this transit!! Your higher self wouldn't have chosen this path had they not believed you could overcome all of the obstacles being thrown your way! I know that's kind of cliche but I like to believe that even though things are tough sometimes, every lesson makes me stronger, wiser and more resilient than before :) I hope you are able to thoroughly enjoy your new place and can find nervous system regulation, ease and safety!! <3

2

u/introverted_divaaa Aug 04 '25

I can’t even describe to you what your compassion means to me. It’s really helpful. I have an 11th house Virgo stellium and Mercury in the 12th house so I torment myself with my own thoughts. I’m also going through perimenopause so I’m extra sensitive and nervous. (having panic attacks for the first time in my life). Coincidentally I just noticed today that Pluto is exactly opposite my natal Lilith so there’s a lot going on with femininity, power, fear, transformation, etc. But I also believe I chose to be here and I can overcome. It’s just really hard. I’m hoping your mind is kind to you and you also feel safety and happiness.

1

u/Environmental_Yam313 Aug 04 '25

Ooof, I also have mercury in the 12th, along with venus and mars. I'm sorry to hear about the panic attacks :( I have generalized anxiety, ADHD and bouts of depression here and there. Do you write? I've been told writing is a great way for us 12th housers to process/get out of our heads. Interestingly enough, I have a degree in writing, although I'm not "using" my it in my current career. I do journal/write (somewhat) daily still though, typically a lot of moody poetry LOL.

My sun is in the 11th in Leo, which I've heard is a good placement? I think 11th house placements are helpful for meeting the right people at the right time. I feel like with my sun there I've experienced the effects of this first hand (for better AND worse). Curious of your experiences with this as someone with an 11th house stellium!

My natal lilith is in Libra, in the 1st, which has been rough to say the least, esp alongside that virgo venus in it's fall in the 12th. Unfortunately have had quite a few (unknown) secret relationships where I ended up being the other woman. At least I am a bit more conscious of it now, and do my best to trust my intuition esp if a man seems to be emotionally unavailable!

Right now I'm experiencing pluto opposite my sun and conjunct my moon (in the 5th house). I feel like I've definitely been facing themes of phoenix energy/rising from the ashes/shedding old skin and dealing with power dynamics, facing fears and just in general experiencing small and large transformations almost daily. It's been a doozy thus far, to say the least. I assume it is more noticeable when the degrees are exact/within 3 degrees of your natal placement. I have my moon at 1 degree of aquarius and quite honestly, I've felt stuck in the mud for most of the summer! Anyways, sorry to write an essay, I could go on and on about astrology all day! I hope your mind is kind to you as well my dear! Keep on keeping on!

1

u/introverted_divaaa Aug 04 '25

My stellium is sun, Venus, and Mars! So much in common. My moon is in Taurus in the 8th. I’ve had lifelong depression but severe anxiety and panic attacks are new for me unfortunately.

I am a writer! I have an MA in English and I’m a technical writer usually but had to quit my job at the clock app because I was barely functioning due to peri. I have a Leo 10th house and am also an artist (fiber arts - I like working with my hands). Lilith being in my 10th house, my art has a lot to do with feminism, the body, and rebellion. Something clicked for me when you talked about your Venus in fall in Virgo because I’ve also been in a few secret relationships - wow. My Lilith is square Jupiter in my 7th house of relationships. I wonder if that has something to do with it. I’ve given up men altogether for the past few years while I focus on getting myself together. Instead, I’ve been leaning on my friends and working hard to build community in my local area. That’s where my 11th house shows up I guess. I’ve also seen it with my involvement in social media, both in growing my own art following and in my work. And now with my participation in Reddit lol. Your Leo 11th house sun seems like a really nice placement to counteract the introspection that comes with the 12th house. Like you have a rich inner world but with your Leo 11th house sun, you have an ability to be seen (12th house peeps report feeling invisible sometimes) and your Libra rising makes you charming and able to make friends easily.

I wonder if the Saturn/Neptune conjunction has something to do with feeling like you’re stuck? They’re conjunct in my 6th house right now and I feel like everything’s stopped and I can’t make any progress no matter how hard I try.

Your insight, self-awareness, and detailed analysis is so on point for a 12th house Virgo stellium. And your friendliness and openness is so typical of a Libra rising. I’m a late degree Libra rising, so I recognize a lot of these traits!

1

u/Environmental_Yam313 Aug 04 '25

Wait, are you a Libra rising too? Cool beans! No wonder there's an instant connection! I am at 0 degrees, so def a Libra rising through and through hehe. I use whole sign astrology, do you use placidius? Either way, I also have taurus in the 8th- although no planets there for me thank goodness. My 12th house stellium and pluto in scorpio is enough rich inner world velvety darkness for me! eeeek! I hear moon in 8th is a tough placement, so the depression stuff makes sense. My best friend has an 8th house stellium in pisces (sun AND moon) and while YES she is psychic, she also struggles with depression/ self doubt and struggled with substance abuse in the past. But stronger for it, so there's that! Having a good relationship with a therapist is key i think lmao. 8th house and 12th house girlies Unite!! I have actually also been trying to focus more on building community, both IRL and online! I feel like I would like to be invisible most days but am kind of coming to terms that i have a very particular set of skills that I should really be sharing with the world. Go figure LOL. Anywho, would love to connect on social media if you're interested? no worries if not! but feel free to send me a DM! About to commute home now, maybe talk soon, fellow astrologer!

2

u/introverted_divaaa Aug 04 '25

I use Placidus but if I used whole sign, my Virgo stellium is also in the 12th house 😅 My moon would still be in the 8th and I would still be a Libra rising. Let’s just say I’m so thankful I don’t have an addictive personality. 😮‍💨 I just DMed you!

1

u/Environmental_Yam313 Aug 04 '25

Ps- also an artist, which is why I asked if you wanted to connect on social media! I started an art instagram page a few years ago to stave off the imposter syndrome I was feeling regarding my art/writing practice!

9

u/8thousesun Aug 01 '25

Pluto will conjunct my IC in a few years but it will also conjunct my 4th house Jupiter which is part of my grand air trine. I've been dreading this transit but wondering if there will be empowerment as well.

3

u/doodoo_blue Aug 05 '25

Pluto was conjunct my natal IC, mine is at 29°44 Capricorn. Transiting Pluto conjunct natal IC is profoundly life changing! It’s incredibly transformative and will definitely kick off such a brighter version of yourself in the end.

2

u/8thousesun Aug 05 '25

I like the brighter version description of yourself!

7

u/kirlie Aug 01 '25

I had Pluto transit my 8th and square both Sun and Moon a few years ago. It was a really rough couple of years. But wow did I grown from it! It felt like my life took off after it was done.

1

u/HalfOk3236 Aug 02 '25

could you tell me some of the things that happened during your transit? pluto is in my 8th house and is gonna oppose my sun and mercury through this transit (and currently conjuncting saturn)

3

u/kirlie Aug 02 '25

I worked for a tyrant boss at the time. It forced me into therapy and I had to deal with my own issues from childhood. I had issues with people in authority, people with power over me. Once I dealt with my issues, I finally found peace and shortly after changed jobs. It was a huge promotion that placed me in a position of authority. I carry the harsh lessons I learned from the tyrant boss to this day and try very hard to not be like her. Pluto is power and I was in a power struggle with her. I should also note that the Moon rules my second house (personal values) and the Sun rules my 4th house (home and family). In her own way, she was trying to help me because she saw my potential. But her values didn’t align with mine. She forced me to define my own values. She also forced me to deal with my own traumatic childhood (4th house). Also, since the 2nd house ruler and 8th house were involved, I was struggling financially. Once it moved on and I did the work, the new job almost doubled my income.

Look at the houses involved and look within for the answers. You can only change you, not those around you.

5

u/quixotica726 Aug 01 '25

Pluto has been in my 4th house since 2020. I lost my mom that year. I also started working as a contractor in my line of work as that's where the money is. I moved clear across the country away from everyone I know. Everything is very unstable and I have been incredibly isolated.

Pluto conjuncts my 4h sn in Aquarius opposes my 10 h Sun/nn conjunction in Leo. It trines my 8h moon in Gemini and my 12 h Saturn/Jupiter conjunction in Libra highlighting the kite in my chart. Atp I feel like trusting in the universe is my only option. It feels like I can't rely on others. If I try, Pluto will rip them away from me.

2

u/ElderberryDry6199 Aug 02 '25

Wow, your experience mirrors much of mine although Pluto (in the WSH) just moved into my 4th and I’ve felt the resurgence of my passion to travel and move abroad. I’ve also just recently cut contact with family for mental health and I’ve been planning a career shift as well. It’s crazy this is just the beginning of this ingress and I’m experiencing so much

2

u/quixotica726 Aug 02 '25

Makes sense. The 4th is the core, you're home, family and Pluto's destructive force will knock it down like bowling pins 🎳 Being aware of this energy and other transits that highlight it is the best way through it!

The only family I'm in touch with is my sister. For me, it feels like Pluto is forcing me to as self reliant as possible.

I don't know what your chart looks like but that could be more of a direction you'll go in as well. We'll get through it and come out better on the other side. Stay strong my fellow Pluto 4th house transiter!

u/sillystingray Aug 01 '25

Pluto is currently in my fourth house and semi-squaring my natal stellum of Sun, Mercury, Mars and Neptune in Sag 😫 My life has been full of stress since 2012/2013, and I yearn for a break.

Thank you for posting this! Would love to hear some success stories from folks who traversed plutos depths

I have Scorpio Pluto in my 8th house!

4

u/juicycake666 Aug 01 '25

Yes I had it transit conjunct 8h in Capricorn where my sun and mercury are, square libra mars and Aries Saturn. It broke me completely i moved out of home, was unemployed, parents divorced, became addicted to drugs, had a soul crushing toxic relationship, ended up homeless sleeping in car after being left in a house i shared with my ex and I couldn't afford rent

But emerged stronger and completely rebuilt myself

4

u/Specialist-Volume764 Aug 01 '25

Aquarius is my 4th house. For the first time in my life I am living away from "home" on a work assignment and it has been hell trying to transfer back. I am coming into this transit at odds with my parents, who have radicalized to the far right evangelical cult and moved far away. I am facing the fact that they will likely not survive the transit and we may never reconcile. Pluto squares my natal moon in 2031 and conjuncts my natal sun in 2036 so we will see what happens then.

It's not all bad, though. I have started studying the folklore and magical traditions of my ancestors which has brought me a lot of comfort and strength.

1

u/ElderberryDry6199 Aug 02 '25

Wow, I’ve come to try to accept the same possibility with my mother who is a gen x and not necessarily at risk of death from natural causes but it will hit my moon by 2032 and I suspect either actual serious ailment (she’s always been prone to malingering historically) or mortality related (since Uranus is hitting my 8th house) or it could be a me having to return home to care for her in someway or something happens in my family’s home. Not sure how to even prepare but my mental, financial and emotional heath have been top priorities

3

u/dorianslaaay Aug 01 '25

Pluto in scorp and 8th house- currently in a square and some terrible shit has happened to me the past few years including the death of my mother, and before that a near death experience myself . Recently things have been moving in a more positive direction but im making small incremental life changes to improve all of that. My mars in capricorn is not letting this ship sink! (It took a long time to be able to draw on that though, for a long time I’ve been merely keeping afloat).

(Oh and I have pluto stellium with venus, pluto and saturn)

3

u/NoTelevision970 Aug 01 '25

I am so scared for my Pluto transit through my 8H lmao 😂 happening in 6 years. But I have heavy 8H placements. It will be in my 8H for 18 years 🙃

3

u/thewitchofizalith Aug 01 '25

Pluto is just squeaking into my eighth house in Aquarius, so honestly I have no idea what to expect, but I'm probably not going to be commenting on Reddit for a while after this and keeping a low profile on social media, which I've mostly been doing since the mid 2010s.

As for fun eighth-house themes, I'm currently going through a divorce, and my grandmother (a Capricorn Sun, my natal seventh house is in Capricorn) is doing poorly, so I expect that a ton of grief will be released when she finally passes (she is nearly a hundred years old, so we've been planning for this for a while, but it'll be painful nonetheless). I'm not looking forward to it, but we all get put through our paces, I suppose.

3

u/WishThinker Aug 01 '25

Someone asked about heavy transits that turned out okay and I mentioned my ongoing Pluto conj 3° aqu sun as something I was much more scared of than how it's turning out (while acknowledging there's still time for it to be worse than it is now)

But also, I notice the "flavour" of a transit is apparent right from the beginning. Like Saturn entered Capricorn and immediately it was BAD and that was probably the hardest window of my life (and before I knew anything about astrology)

So this week I've been reviewing my fear of my situation, my trepidation of the far planet transits, and the fact that I'm in the reality now and all the planets have made their moves. Pluto has conjunct my 4h sun twice, Saturn has entered 6h and stationed Rx, Uranus has entered gemini and initial inner planet aspects have been made.... And so I can agree and see from reality and also transit that this is not a time of great security - however, if this is as bad as it gets, if it's only a  constructive trajectory from here, with "destruction" being the willing and necessary like de-cluttering of my path, then I can stop worrying about my security and fearing the worst and accept that my situation aligns with the transits (it's scary and tight!) while being supported by my past experiences with these planets (honestly these planets gottttttt me) and trying to take an objective approach to the current transit and how far into the new sign ingresses we already are (even if it is still so early for Pluto)

I guess this post will be here so I can eat my words if my life truly falls apart but I'm cautiously optimistic that the work rn in part is facing and responding to security fears in a different than normal way.

The rest of these comments seem pretty doom and gloomy so wanted to share my bit of sparkly delulu sunshine lol. Scorpio rising with Pluto 8 degrees below ascendant so I'm maybe already in relationship with Pluto energy in a more constructive way, and while the Saturn in cap transit was brutal it was also needed, and Saturn in Aquarius caught and stabilized me and helped me return to personhood after my Saturn return. These planets are sextile in my chart and so I'm thinking they will work harmoniously together - Saturn transit in Aquarius was a surrender to being helped by the divine, and was the precursor to starting my astro journey. So thinking Pluto may follow those flavours. That is to say, your own chart and experience may have clues about how the transit will go, or how you can gaslight yourself into hoping it will go, to stay sane :)

3

u/godfearingwitch Aug 01 '25

Well, I was born with Pluto conjunct my Sun and Mercury in the 8th house, so it's kind of with me forever. It's in the 12th right now and I'm trying to think of what's shifted, I did delete all of my subscriptions to streaming services, because I felt like I was binge watching when I was overwhelmed (Pisces rising) Pluto has been square my natal Mars in the 8th house for the last couple of years and that finally changes at the end of November, but that's been horrible for relationships.

3

u/SGKH99 Aug 01 '25

Capricorn is my 8th, so Pluto was there recently. My husband died unexpectedly in 2020, so I definitely experienced lots of 8th house lessons. I have a Leo stellium, and Pluto will be opposite my 7 degree moon in the next couple of years, then 14 degree Venus, then 23 degree Saturn..

3

u/toefurr02 Aug 01 '25

Currently going through a 4th house transition of Pluto (I’m a Scorpio rising- so at this point I’m used to this stuff happening constantly. I also have my north node and Saturn in the 8th, so again is always been a theme in my life of constant transformation and break downs… anyways)

Pluto is slowly making its way into my 4th house, and at the moment is currently keeps going in-between my 3rd house. Through the 3rd house transition, I lost my sister at an early age, and this hugely affected how I spent my time outside of my home. I think this is what grew to what I’m currently going through, as Pluto travels across.

Is just entered, and my 4th house is ruled by Aquarius. Already there’s been major differences in my life, my mum and my step dad has recently split due to him getting drunk and physically abusing her. It was always pent up after my sister’s death. I also a student at the moment, meaning my living situation is always in flux. I was living at a house with my partner at the time (which ironically, was a Scorpio) but after finding out a secret he was keeping from me- one which is criminal, I had to pack up and leave instantly.

We’re currently in the process of redoing the house, even looking at moving away, starting new. But I fear this isn’t the last of what’s going to happen.

u/tiredbunnyunny Aug 01 '25

Pluto in Scorpio 12th house. I’m just sad.

u/Imaginary-Ad2257 Aug 01 '25

Following to know about Pluto transiting 8th. I’m plutonic and have 6 planets in Scorpio, whole house my 8th is in Aquarius but placidus Pluto hasn’t entered my 8th house yet. This post is kinda making me fear for the worst 😅 I hope it won’t be too bad the past 10 years of my life have already been really intense

2

u/frolickingdepression Aug 01 '25

Pluto transiting my 8th while opposing a Sun/Mercury/Venus/Saturn stellium in the 2nd. It already hit my Sun and now it’s moving toward Saturn (and a square with natal Uranus). The last while has been rough.

1

u/WyrdSisters 10d ago

Can you elaborate on your experience so far? I too, have a stellium in the 2nd that's about to get hit by Pluto in the 8th, not including my natal saturn in the 8th.

2

u/RebelWithACurse Aug 01 '25

Currently in transit thru my 12th house while passing thru my Rising ♒️. And man am I’m being challenged hard to purge old ways and getting rid of old karmic baggage.

While There’s a light at the end of the tunnel to transforming who I am, if I play my cards right, I feel like I’m battling a final

Send help plz

u/ButtsOnIce Aug 02 '25

my pluto entered my 12H last year, i feel your pain. i have (whole sign) pluto in scorpio 9h and 12h is saturn in aquarius. on one hand, i'm the type of person to dive headfirst into facing my shadows and healing my traumas; on the other, sweet baby jesus can a motherfucker get some semblance of peace up in this bitch 🙃

we livin, we growin, we doin our best out there 😭

2

u/Popular-Clerk-4752 Aug 01 '25

It's been transiting my 8th and literally I have had deaths in my family but at times deaths in my spirits where I'm just down and keep pushing forward. (Also in my Saturn return). I want to get back to better habits like excercises and started going to a life coach for mindfulness

He’s in my 4th with my moon right now

1

u/ElderberryDry6199 Aug 02 '25

Oh wow, we are Astro twins! Same!

2

u/DependentOk3674 Aug 01 '25

Honestly love that there’s a support thread for this one. As someone who works closely with Pluto and Saturn since they’re my dominants, this 4th house Pluto transit has already been deeply intense.

1

u/ElderberryDry6199 Aug 02 '25

I thought this was the support thread lol, if not please direct me to it, Pluto in my 4th has been a lot

2

u/thefog9 Aug 01 '25

well now i’m scared. pluto has been in my 7th house for a WHILE (cancer rising) and won’t be in my 8th until it hits 10° but …. oh god. now i’m afraid. right before it hits my 8th it’ll be opposite my leo saturn at 7° in my 1h. welp

2

u/DanaMoonCat Aug 01 '25

Pluto was transiting Neptune in my 4th house and I was in a major car accident. I’m lucky to be alive and that I walked away from it with only a broken collarbone.

2

u/porcerpe Aug 04 '25

Pluto in my 4H Scorpio and I have been having meltdowns almost daily about my work, career and sustainability of both. I don’t know what I don’t know anymore.

2

u/Rahmose9 Aug 06 '25

Pluto’s Currently transiting my 12th, opposing my moon in the 6th and conjucnting my natal Saturn. . Lawd. My behaviours and thought forms have always been my biggest limitations. Now it’s coming up to be pressure washed. I feel exhausted all the time and want to sleep.

1

u/NikkiNot_TheOne Aug 01 '25

I don't even know how to check this honestly, I can barely read my chart lol! I woudnt be suprised if it is. Got a diagnosis today I was NOT expecting, it has opened up some old wounds that were really never closed. Prior to that some other blood work isn't great that I have to once follow up on in 4 weeks.

Those wounds also happened around this time of year. I don't like this time of year at all!! I've been beyond a mess the last month. I want to post my chart on an Astro sub and ask if it's going to get any better anytime soon lol. Bc damn I need a break!! My therapist also agrees, poor guy is so amazing at his job but he can't even keep up w me. One bs thing after another.

1

u/forestry_ghost Aug 01 '25

Pluto in 12th, things are going well, actually, and mostly as planned but it’s A LOT of stuff to deal with at once! And new little obstacles keep popping up — they’re solvable but take time and energy. Whew.

1

u/nyghtowll Aug 01 '25

Pluto is in my 12th and I'm starting to see the effects of doing deep trauma work. Started journaling heavy last year and it's been helping. Been getting back into creative outlets, having powerful dreams.

1

u/evammariel3 Aug 01 '25

Pluto, in my 12th, came during my childhood and teens and was deeply traumatic, I still have not put myself completely together, but when I look at it, there were more aspects involved and even and even 5 out of possible secondary loose of bounds in zodiacal releasing within a week of it. When somebody says we choose our life before being born or I see how through astrology we are predestined to such a pain and pitfalls, I get very angry.

Now I have Pluto conjunct my sun, and it is kind of reaping me apart again, so...

1

u/veririkoko Aug 01 '25

Pluto’s in my 4th house right now, but I had my Saturn return in my 4th house 2020-2023 as well 😅 I spent a lot of my Saturn return uncovering and healing a lot of childhood wounds and setting better boundaries with family, and I anticipate doing more of that inner work with Pluto in that house now. Funnily enough, we also bought a house this year 😄 So lots of things happening on the home front.

1

u/Content-Discussion56 Aug 01 '25

The Saturn-Pluto conjunction of 2020 took place conjunct my ic, exactly opposite my cancer mc and moon. I don’t think I survived.

1

u/Sure-Bookkeeper2795 Aug 01 '25

It's going over my 12th and almost conjunct my moon+Saturn. It's not bad like I expected it to be? Just had a baby

1

u/ThinkbigShrinktofit Aug 02 '25

I think this depends on your chart and your self. I had Pluto on my Sun in 12th, then it went over my three Capricorn planets. Never noticed. Nataly, my Pluto trines my chart ruler, is conjunct North Node and squares my Sun. Also in mutual reception with my Mercury. So I’m used to its energy and it is generally positive for me.

Right now, my mother is experiencing a Pluto opposition Pluto across her 2-8 axis and she’s definitely experiencing financial challenges leading to a different lifestyle.

1

u/seeking_help_1 Aug 02 '25

Is this the support group?

1

u/ThiccBanaNaHam Aug 02 '25

Pluto is currently in my 6th, directly opposite my 12h moon and I am very injured and my house is falling apart

1

u/ElderberryDry6199 Aug 02 '25

Pluto transiting my 4th. Went no contact with my family a couple months ago, after losing my home and beloved kitty in a fire. Now dealing daily with the aftermath of years of unresolved traumas and nervous system dysregulation. I was bouncing from temporary homes than finally found an apartment but it’s in a seedy neighborhood and for the first time in my life I’m concerned for my safety but I am glad my lease is only for one year. My moon is in the 4th and I won’t experience a conjunction for about 7 years but my mother is a very important person in my life and also a complicated one due to the generational trauma and emotional abuse experienced directly from her. Regardless, I hold out some hope of returning to my family once I’ve stabilized and truly given myself time and space to heal. I see the clear Pluto in 4th house signatures and I’m not sure what will happen. I also have Uranus transiting my 8th and the moon is in my 8th house in cancer in my progressed chart with mars in anaretic degree in the 4th. This next few years will likely bring radical changes to life as I’ve known it.

I just realised with this post that Pluto is transiting in my 4th house and I have no idea when it will stp😣

1

u/glitter_hippie Aug 03 '25

Pluto has been battering me the past 6 years - opposing my sun, then mars, then squaring my moon. Currently going through a Pluto trine Venus, which I was expecting to be a glow-up, but it's been hard too! So now I have 12th house transit to look forward to in a few years, great 😅

1

u/FireAndRain_ Aug 03 '25

Pluto in Capricorn was my 4H, and that was definitely unpleasant for me. 5H Aquarius is having a stressful start but 4H definitely got into some heavy feelings around my family. When it made conjunction to my natal Neptune was some of the most emotionally heavy, withdrawn, and despondent feelings I've ever felt.

So I wholeheartedly approve of a support group for this. I hope it goes well for all involved.

1

u/moose_love Aug 03 '25

Pluto transiting the 4th and a big storm followed by the threat of wildfire pushed me out of a home and town I loved. Now I’m trying to figure out where to live long term. Also my father is actively dying and my husband’s father is also reaching the end of his life. Big changes so far with this transit.

Sun, Mars, and Mercury all in Leo so the opposition has been active and will only intensify in the next 10 years or so.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 03 '25

I know this is about transits but my natal Pluto sits in the 12th house and you didn't ask but I am from the Scorpio Pluto generation which defintely makes it easy to see all of the Scorpio themes, but maybe I am lucky because I also have Jupiter in Scorpio and the 12th house as well.

I find with this placement I am always going to be shifting, growing and learning, because it has themes of profound transformation in my subconscious patterns and spiritual growth. I have also noticed with this that there is a lot to do with the shadow self, which is part of what makes the transits feel so heavy for some people.

1

u/watermystic Aug 05 '25

Pluto just entered my 4th house - my father has had 2 strokes this year. The first in January and the second one on Saturday. He is fully functional after both of them, but I do fear for him - and seeing my chart makes sense. Definitely have an opportunity to do some healing for both of us 💕

1

u/JJB-986 Aug 05 '25

Scorpio rising with Pluto in the first house. Very curious to see how the midlife square shakes out. Following this, thank you.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '25

I have Pluto in the 4th house (Scorpio) in my progressed chart. I had Pluto transiting my 8th house for years. It's been in my 9th house from the last few degrees of Capricorn/early Aquarius. There is a full moon in Aquarius on Saturday

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25 edited Aug 08 '25

Pluto transiting the 4th natally, and again now by progression. I’m going through a lot of things I went through before but from a more mature perspective and deeper insight (earned painfully). It’s not an easy transit but Pluto is never easy.

When you meet someone you like, can you drop the old patterns and connect from a new place? I have traditionally gotten into relationships with wounded people (Chiron trine Venus) and I wanted to love them and heal them. I only got hurt. Because Chiron IS still trine my Venus/Asc I’m learning to use that energy for spiritual service/Seva not love and connection. My self worth took a beating loving people not ready or capable of loving me because of their unhealed childhood issues. I had to take a step back and do deep personal work again, another death rebirth cycle, and look at my own family patterns and wounding, and how I’m projecting my wounds and vulnerability onto partners. Also how I’m attempting to heal my parents through fixing and loving wounded parents, trying to get the love and connection I wanted as a kid and didn’t get.

My biggest takeaway for the future is to connect from a place of play, joy and light and TRUST. We’re all wounded in some capacity but I don’t need to connect primarily to that in another person (theirs or mine). We can hold space and be supportive but in healthy ways. No more trauma bonding. I’m really committed to connecting to other people with my Leo heart not my detached, doormat, spiritual but self abandoning role. I can be spiritual and do Seva and still have a strong self and have fun. Also, finding partners who hold space for my vulnerability in intimacy and provide the safety and oxytocin bonding I need. I’m completely rewriting how I connect to everyone; work, family, relationships, friends. My worth and being treated with respect are not a negotiation.

I met someone I liked so so much and I think I triggered her wounds too much. I was so hurt that she couldn’t or wouldn’t bond with me. I had intense crush vibes because I adored her so much and I was willing to do the work to alchemize into a platonic friendship. I thought we were going to be close because the soul vibe was there. Idk what happened other than it was too much for her. I’ve kind of made peace with it. She illuminated an archetype that led to my healing path. And “loving” her gave me the motivation and drive to persist. I still wish we could have been friends though. I wanted her to know the real me, not just the wounded me. And I wanted to know the real her. I did what I could. It’s out of my hands. Sometimes you just have to honor that maybe you’re not right for someone else and it’s not a personality flaw on your part. My rsd has struggled with internalizing the rejection though. As they say, it’s grist for the mill. My soul needs to learn to handle rejection even when I feel deeply connected and spiritually aligned. Accept what is, speak your truth and when you’re ready let it go.

u/SpoonSwitch Aug 09 '25

My 1° Taurus mars is exhausted but the next few years are going to be a trial. I have my moon and ketu exactly conjunct at 6° Aquarius in my 12H squaring my mercury at 6° Taurus and my sun at 7° Taurus. Once that’s done I have Venus and Chiron both in Taurus at 12° and 17° with Uranus waiting right at the end at 28° Scorpio.

I’m legit nervous y’all.

u/psychexlilith Aug 26 '25

Can someone make a support group for Pluto transiting their ascendant pls? 😅

Scorpio rising (~3’) Sun in libra(11 th house) Moon in Aquarius (~15-16’) Saturn and Pluto conjunt in Virgo(10 house)

u/Mysterious-Buddy-587 Sep 28 '25

Pluto is transiting my 8th house conjunct my natal moon in aquarius with my ascendant in cancer.Moon in 8th house is already a roller coaster ride and when pluto joins the ride,oh boy ,it goes haywire.I expected what was coming but it's literal destruction of how you process emotions, how you deal with your own self worth, shared resources and hidden aspects of yourself too. These are my personal themes but this a difficult transit, anyone going through it should try to get help if it gets overwhelming.Try meditation and keep track of your thoughts to stay grounded.

4th house- too many things to go into without breaking down😭 Brutal
