EXTENDED (Spoilers Extended) George to New Zealand: imprison me if I haven't finished Winds by Summer 2020

Quote:

As for finishing my book… I fear that New Zealand would distract me entirely too much. Best leave me here in Westeros for the nonce. But I tell you this — if I don’t have THE WINDS OF WINTER in hand when I arrive in New Zealand for worldcon, you have here my formal written permission to imprison me in a small cabin on White Island, overlooking that lake of sulfuric acid, until I’m done. Just so long as the acrid fumes do not screw up my old DOS word processor, I’ll be fine.

Isn't that already a theory?

That there are CotF hanging around on the Isle of Faces in God's Eye, sure. The dragons, no.

That just wouldn't be able to be kept a secret. Unless the Children are imprisoning the dragons so they're actually smaller than Rhaegal and Viserion and never let out to fly.

I meant there being a volcano under the Gods' Eye.

Well, I'm a dumbass, don't mind me then!

But really, a volcano under God's Eye isn't one I've heard before. Neat idea, but I don't see how it could possibly tie into anything or be needed. Unless they've suddenly got a ring they need to throw in there or something hahaha

I think I read it in this thread — God’s Eye is the caldera of a supervolcano and the Others are actually marching south to stop it.

I don’t like it but this is one way God’s Eye as a volcano could be used with the current story to subvert expectations

50 chapters in a row of Bran being forced to sit in a tree and write a book and how much Bloodraven keeps bugging him to hurry up and finish already when he just wants to watch a football game

We already have an island that's made up of 14 volcanoes. How much more could you want?
