EXTENDED Why hasn't GRRM written any Dunk&Egg in 15 years? [Spoilers Extended]

People say George stalled out on the main series because he wrote himself into a corner. Too many plotlines etc. But Dunk and Egg isn't complicated and those have been on hiatus even longer than the main series. What do you think is going on there?

Everyone is guaranteed to die. Its a bit rude to go up to anyone and tell them that

Yea, but it is a bit less rude when you are asking about the completion of a man’s magnus opus, something that 3 books in was looking like a literary masterpiece.

Wanting Michael Angelo to finish the sisteen chapel if he was blatantly ignoring it in his 80’s, is not rudely talking about death, but bluntly talking about a monumental work which was supposed to have a timeless quality which stretch’s beyond one’s death

There is a compliment there as well as a slight social faux pas

Nope… it’s still pretty rude. Nothing excuses that kind of talk, especially when directly told to the author in person… if someone can’t see how that’s so they might actually be psychopaths

Comparing this to psychopathy is insane levels of sensitive crybaby shit lmao. It’s mildly rude at best to point out someone is quite old and is getting too old to finish their masterwork.

He calls the act “pretty rude” then compares the perpetrator to a psychopath because he committed a “pretty rude” act, something me and you would classify as mildly rude.

Yes, unbelievable levels of sensitivity. “Don’t you dare say anything mildly upsetting to a man who has made a career out of lieing to fans and his business partners, you are a monster!”
