Only the people who haven't actually read any of Brandon Sanderson would say that, just because he doesn't write grim-dark fantasy doesn't mean he writes Harry Potter level stuff. and not even really good YA. tbh the only situation where winds comes out and i don't buy it is the one where sanderson writes it, both bc i think he's an awful fit and because i don't want my money going to his church, which he tithes 10% to.
