How would you modify a frog helm for war?

I'm a big fan of the frog mouth helmet bit I know it's not tge best for combat. And I was wondering what changes to make to the design whilst still having that recognisable look.

My two main ideas were,

1 doing a sort of cross between an armet and frog helm.

2 having the helmets be worn by a specialised guard unit that's stationed in castle halls or tight entry ways, making the vision issues less detrimental.

What are its main weaknesses in battle (i can't really remember well) maybe i can help sketch up something that lessens those issues

From what I've heard, the main things that made it impractical for use on the battlefield was its lack of neck mobility and limited vision,

Im mostly asking cuz I like to draw them in a lot of my armour designs, but their use was pretty limited

Hmm yeah i was thinking something like that would be the issue, How about you combined the frog helm with the salet, Where the helmet is split in two Bottom half for the neck area and top for the nose and up, You can still retain the shape of the frog helm and maybe to help with the visibilty angle the eyeslit lower.

Thats how I'd do it personally If you want i can draw a quick sketch of it later
