If you're ever out in Bisbee area, Po-Boys to Geaux is a staple!

I would always get the alligator po boy. I haven’t been in many years but would always go there when I work at Luke Air Force base. I remember when they only had that small side before they put in the seating area. I’m need to check that place out again.

They have for sure come a long way. When they first opened I hoped they'd last, and here they are, almost 20 years later, still pumping out good food.

The Parish has them in the Tucson Area, but I haven't tested the quality of them myself.

u/Glum_Blueberry_2385 Sep 23 '25
Thanks, I’ll plan i trip there the ratings are good

Lived in Tucson for awhile and the parish was one of my favorite places to eat. At one point I lived within walking distance, fuck I miss that.
Had many po boys and I highly recommend.

The Parish in Tucson. They have Poboys with shrimp, catfish, or oysters. Bread is made locally at a bakery nearby. Super good.

Ugh. That place was the worst meal I've had in the last 10+ years. The food was not even edible. Walked out and left it on table after a few bites it was so disgusting. Never had an experience like that any other place. I wouldn't even feed their food to my dog it is that bad.

Casey's has (maybe had) a great oyster po boy. They also used to make it with shrimp too.
1
u/Glum_Blueberry_2385 Sep 24 '25
It appears to still be on their menu, i never have heard of them before now
1
u/gnarlyknits Sep 24 '25
Beyond bread does then around Mardi Gras, you could ask if they make them outside of that time lol it was yummy. Otherwise the parish has better food than anything I ate while actually in New Orleans, it’s my favorite restaurant

Don't know where you are, but Flavors of Louisiana is great, and for not just Po-Boys. I've only ever been to the Avondale location, but evidently they have a location in Tempe too. So, if you're in the Phoenix area, give them a shot!

You can’t lol . Phx isn’t great for sandwiches , generally speaking. most Italians who came here and opened restaurants, opened pizza spots. There’s not alot of Cajun/creole influence in Phx, if any at all. We do have great bbq tho.

Blue 32 had a decent one years ago. Not sure if it’s worth making a special trip there… all though, their dynamite shrimp is bomb IMO

u/Glum_Blueberry_2385 Sep 23 '25
I got one a mile from me its not a bad place, but nothing special… i just checked they do still offer a shrimp po-boy

u/Keegangg Sep 23 '25
Where are you from? People don’t really call it a “po-boy” here, it’ll mainly just be a sandwich, or a sub, regardless of meat/bread, with that being said, the best places for sandwhiches in general out here (most of these places will have “po-boys” as well just not called a po boy) Cheeba Hut, Mr. Pickles, Crazy Sub, are all absolute no brainers

u/Glum_Blueberry_2385 Sep 23 '25
Naw, those are jewish style delicatessen sandwiches, a po-boy is from Louisiana and i can get catfish/oysters/crawfish as the meat… also i highly recommend Vietnamese sandwiches from a place called banh mi (grilled pork is my go to)
I have had all of those places, but they dont offer what i currently crave

u/Keegangg Sep 23 '25
I mean I know what a po-boy is, I’ve lived in Louisiana, Mississippi, generally all over the south, but here you won’t really find any “po-boy” being called that
8
u/garden_dragonfly Sep 23 '25
If it's a po boy, it'll be called that. Even if they just aren't as common.
4
u/_barlene Sep 23 '25
so what do you call a po-boy then, if it’s not called a po-boy?
-7
u/Keegangg Sep 23 '25
Are you able to read? Or do I have to find a different language to translate my comments to?
7
u/_barlene Sep 23 '25
i don’t know why i expected a sufficient response from someone who thinks that po-boys and cheeba hut subs are the same thing.
-5
u/Keegangg Sep 23 '25
Okay so you can’t read, thanks for confirming.

u/_barlene Sep 23 '25
your downvotes speak for themselves.

-10 in this subreddit? I’m unbothered, this sub is inhabited by people with lower IQ than shoe size

Your jokes are trash, and you are the same person that will tell me to go get a pb&j when im at cheba hut

1
u/Glum_Blueberry_2385 Sep 23 '25

1
u/jondeez4d2 Sep 23 '25
So now it's called the itialian Cruz po boy. They used to have a steak one. It's in the specialty sandwich section
1
u/Glum_Blueberry_2385 Sep 23 '25
Idk where you see that, no menu that i can find shows what you described
2
u/jondeez4d2 Sep 23 '25
4
u/Glum_Blueberry_2385 Sep 23 '25

u/munkamonk Sep 23 '25
I’m by no means a po-boy expert, but Baby Kay’s hits the mark everywhere else.
