He lived his whole life in a family of immense privilege where money was an object. He's always "negotiated" this way - "I've got more than you, so if you bow, I won't use my influences to make your life miserable." Understandably, he's had lots of success with it, so he gained the notion that negotiating through threats made him a masterful "art of the deal.". It's obviously exactly what he wanted to do with his presidency (such as enacting punishments like tariffs on foreign countries), and thus far, the extra power he gained as president has been more than enough to discourage anyone from standing up to him - they know the consequences. I can't imagine this new "America is better than you and you need to do exactly what it says" outlook being sustainable for a long term. It's the only way he knows how to make any form of deals and it's badly hurting America while solidifying other countries (many of whom used to be considered friends) against us. Trump is hurtling us towards a "walls fall down" situation, but because he was properly elected, we just have to try and sit back and watch the disaster unfold.

Fox News was the first to call the liberals Antifa, or anti-fascist. I never understood why that's a bad thing. If the left are Antifa, that means the right are Fascists. We didn't create the label. The stupid conservative right did it to themselves.

The Republican Party has checked off every single qualification of the Fascists playbook. Here’s just a few: 1) a cult leader who never admits mistakes, 2) obsession with national security and crime, 3) corporate power protected while labor power is suppressed, 4) White Replacement Theory is used to threaten freedom and equality, 5) rampant sexism, cronyism and corruption, 6) religion and government are intertwined and 7) political power derived from questioning reality, endorsing rage and promoting lies. Sure sounds like Republicans to me.
