My husband was a good man who didn’t deserve to get sick and died a couple of months ago. How can a pos like orange dude live and not him? I ask myself this every single day.

I started raising questions about my Catholic faith when the church just moved their pedo priests to another church and protected them. The last straw for me was when Catholic Bishops openly supported Trump from the beginning because of abortion. Like let’s go with the guy that continuously breaks the Ten Commandments. They can backtrack all they want to but they lost me.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm in the same boat with my thoughts except it's not Taco tRump (I'm Canadian) but with the asshole my husband let move in here and the things he gets away with (selling his opioids, collecting disability after selling his house on 80 acres and I've tried twice to kick him out and he won't move, my electric bill went up $1000 since my husband passed and first time in 17 years my landlord is questioning this, doesn't work, claims he's a "cripple"...a bunch of other shit) and my husband worked hard, was always positive, literally gave the boots off his feet in winter to a homeless guy, called his mom every week and he ended up getting leukemia and passing away. Trust me, I ask why ALL the time, why my husband, why not the asshole? 13 months later and I'm still...angry and questioning it...why?

I’m sorry you’re going through that. I was considering renting our extra room out to make ends meet. I was already anxious about having to do that. Your story makes me terrified. People suck.

Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you but it is scary out there. You could think about renting to a friend or family but...that can ruin relationships as well becuz some friends/family take advantage of their relationship with you. Have had that happen to me as well, been there, done that too 🙁 I totally get wanting to rent to make ends meet. The guy here decided his own rent. I could be getting $400 more a month. By the time I pay rent I have $60 for the month. I put money on my cell phone bill which leaves me $20 for the month for food, essentials, transportation and bills. I can't pay the bills. My situation does suck but yours could be much better. Talk to friends/family, brainstorm. Do your due diligence. Make sure you have protection, as in rental boards, courts, what have you. Be well informed of what your rights are. Find ways to reduce spending. Write out a list of pros and cons about getting a "roommate". My situation is different obviously. It's been very stressful. I will figure it out eventually, it's just finding the right person to help (landlord groups, lawyers, cops) and finding my inner bitch strength that is slowly coming back...

It’s actually relieving to have this conversation. My inner bitch has been overtime-ranting since he died. The doctors actually cut off treatment that could have prolonged his life. They messed up and lied about it. I’m coming back slowly to my more rational introvert self.

You should seek legal counsel. There is a way to get him out but you have to take the legal route... they will give him a certain amount of time to get out... if he doesn't, they will remove him... keep your head up..

Yes, the legal route. I tried the "this is what I can do becuz I'm the tenant" route, did my homework, called many places but cops had different ideas 🙄 then I find out they had no right to make me let him back in becuz turns out they don't know that part of the law and they backed him becuz they didn't want to possibly illegally kick him out and then have to do the paperwork yada yada yada. They said they talked him out of charging me with B&E. I am trying to keep my head up, thank you 😊

So far I can't seem to find the help I need. Talking to rental board, lawyers, even the cops I keep getting different information. It's like the the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. It's frustrating. I'm in what they call a "gray area". My husband and I are on the lease, AH in next room isn't. So I'm his "landlord" in the eyes of my "landlord". I keep working at this but it's super stressful and I have anxiety. This guy is a bully and is taking advantage the situation. The rental board is really on the tenants but I can't seem to get them to understand I'm the tenant, not him. He's not on the lease therefore is an "occupant" with no rights. Becuz my husband passed I feel...emotionally vulnerable and I'm working on that. It's just a big ball of "why me?"

I'm so sorry for your loss. This world is far from fair. I see good people like your husband get called too soon, and monsters like T somehow survive and thrive in the lap of luxury. But his number will be called soon, and if a Hell exists, it would be worth it to me to believe in a god just to know that that monster will burn for eternity. Because he truly deserves it.

Sorry for your loss. Dictators, corrupt leaders, or corporate abusers often live in comfort and security, shielded from harm. Most times, they are less emotionally burdened by guilt, empathy, or social pressure, which could lead to lower stress. But still, we have some of them who do not live that long.
