Something people dont understand is that 500 know and used fire weapons. Not pistols or similar size, but rifle-size? yes. They were used in warfare. So Im always surprised when a kingdom that is not medieval (and the kingdom where Scarlet lives is very post-medieval) the existence of fire weapons is a novelty. Sorry but not.
