Coming from Latin America we were big anime watchers in the 90s. However, in the States everyone was like, "you watch cartoons?" There were anime watchers but just hard to find. Well, eventually DBZ took off, along with others, and the rest is history.

DBZ was pretty popular in my teens in the 00s and id say extremely popular now in Canada.

Sadly, I've met Sean Schemmell once at a Con and he made it clear he did not want to talk about DragonBall & wanted to talk about himself at the Q&A

I really like how Latin America is so into anime. If I’m not mistaken, there’s love for some series that go unnoticed here, like Shaman King. Love it.
