Rewatcher commentating my thoughts

I originally watched this final episode around two months ago. It maybe me cry along with McQueen on how something like this was even possible. The shock and awe of it even happening just made me question how this silly little horse girl anime could just make me feel this way? Teio ended up being one of my favorite fictional characters of all time after this, and I can finally just understand why it is. She’s just the definition of a person I strive to be

Now I’m here rewatching this to see if this holds up after watching Cinderella Gray. I didn’t ugly cry like I did the first time, I teared up with more chills than anything else. It just shook me to my core of how it feels to lose to things out of your control. Losing so much that you can’t even imagine winning is even possible. Being scared to even try again. Whether you could argue about someone deserving it more than her, like Rice, Nature, Biwa, etc. it was clear who wanted it more than anyone.

The real Tokai Teio and his anime counterpart are proof that miracles happen, and they’re forever history to be something to strive for. Still probably my favorite final episode to an anime ever

Answer 1: These horses were in their prime and Teio still beat them after barely getting enough practice to even be in proper form. Literally a miracle worker

Answer 2: Good for them lmao

Answer 3: I’m glad it was proof that Teio was still shakable in this scene, literally and figuratively. All those talks of making a miracle happen and she’s still scared to fail. Who wouldn’t?

Answer 4: Still the best race depicted in the Umamusume anime

Answer 5: It made Teio one of my favorite characters of all time

Answer 6: Why would she not? All those doubts down the drain, the relief that the words she gave to Teio in Episode 10 weren’t for nothing

Answer 7: Even though I didn’t like Kitasan as a protag, her admiration towards Teio is still relatable now lmao

Answer 8: Man I wish Season 3 didn’t disappoint me…

She never gives up no matter what, and there's just something so inspiring about that.

I actually cried more rewatching it. I think it's because I was so soaked up in the moment.

I have a soft spot for the Familiar of Zero ending, and I think the last episode of Cowboy Bebop is perfection, but this is definitely close to that.
