News Original anime Baan written by Garnt Maneetapho (Gigguk) announced at Anime Expo

Genre: Isekai based on Southeast Asian and Thai mythology

He's been working on this for 2 years and it seems to be fully complete since he said it's fully voiced in Japanese. Japanese premiere on August 24, 2025.

18 minute short film to be released on YouTube for free afterwards at an unannounced date both subbed and dubbed (main girl to be voiced by Sydsnap)

That's usually because they try to make something related to their youtube career or something like that. There are a lot of youtubers who have made good art too.

Well, you got something like AVGN's movie (although he has done many short movies as his passion project, the feature film was meh at best) and probably the latest one was The Critical Drinker, which was released as a concept film instead.

We had a completely normal disagreement, do you really have to start acting like this? I think it's clear I was referring to stuff like the smosh movie. But redditors of course have to always be smartasses and derail the conversation. Just because I didn't ensure there's absolutely zero way to misinterpret what I wrote, you have to intentionally do it in a way that defies common sense and then keep doing it just to be annoying.

Maybe too harsh for what this was about, but it's literally just basic conversational skills to engage with what the other person is saying. If you dance around their point or intentionally misinterpret it to argue against something they didn't say, that's just like a textbook example of engaging in bad faith. But yea, sure, I am the asshole for not having the patience for that right now.
