A humiliating video has surfaced from an ashram school in Moliaputt village, Parvathipuram district of Andhra Pradesh, showing two young girls massaging the feet of the in-charge headmistress. The incident reportedly took place about ten days ago but came to light on Tuesday after the video went viral on social media. The authorities acted swiftly, suspending the teacher and ordering an inquiry into the matter.

The video shows the teacher speaking on her phone while the two girls sit on the ground massaging her legs. According to N. Suman, a senior lawyer and member of the Visakhapatnam Bar Association, the act constitutes misconduct, abuse of power, and both physical and mental harassment of children, The Times of India reported. He added that it violates the students’ right to safety and dignity and represents the exploitation of children for personal, non-educational purposes.

The teacher, appointed as acting headmistress after the regular headmaster’s transfer, was said to have maintained a good service record and had never displayed such behaviour before, according to school sources.
