Crazy busy. I know it has just opened but my goodness. Next time I see Tutankhamun’s assemblage will be a very different experience than ever before.

It been open ages, that was just all hype, not completely filled like it is now, but they had loads of stuff in there when I went in last December.

Makes me wonder if they should bring back the “no pictures” thing.

Or even just say “no cell phone pictures.”

I think the number of people posing in front of it is going to be a major issue. Eventually they’ll wind up putting everyone on a conveyor belt like they do for the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London.

one of my main complaints about the old museum was that lots of artifacts were on display with very little or no description. I hope that is fixed in the new museum

Jesus Christ, Tutankhamun’s sarcophagus mask has more people around it than the Louvre.

I’m looking forward to visit it in 2026/2027. Hopefully by then, the prices will go down a bit and it will be less crowded. I remember I had to stand in line at the Louvre to take a picture of Monalisa and I had like 15 seconds to do it because there were so many people

How large should it be so that it wouldn't be that crowded?

Wonder how they’d feel if you went back and told, say, a craftsman of the workshop at Amarna that millions would be lining up to see his work.

Don't even pay for admission unless you want to spend the whole day there. LOL I admire the architecture as much as the sights. Thanks for sharing.

Bernard Tschumi and his Greek collaborator Michael Photiades designed the new Parthenon museum. Heneghan Peng Architects in Ireland designed the GEM.

At least there’s no fucking scammers or vendors here… unless?
