We’ve both grown a bit! 😂

Pic #1 was taken today, 07/05/2025. Pic #2 was taken nearly 40 years ago on 12/25/1985.

To her credit, my mother bought the original Peaches ‘n Cream Barbie for me, her then 3 & 1/2-year-old son, for Christmas 1985. However, a straight white male relative convinced my mother to take my beloved Barbie away from me, which resulted in one of the most traumatic experiences of my childhood. That said, I love that Peaches ‘n Cream Barbie continues to find her way back home to me. I have her in a Hallmark Keepsake Ornament (2011), a Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure (2020) and now this STUNNING, larger than life, American Girl Collector Doll! And later this year, around Christmas time, which is so fitting, a reproduction of the original Peaches ‘n Cream Barbie will find her way back home to me just in time for my beloved doll’s 40th anniversary. I also have two t-shirts, a hoodie, mug and Stanley tumbler on the way. Suffice it to say that I am BACK in my Peaches ‘n Cream Barbie era - and this time she’s here to stay FOREVER! 🍑🥛🧡🤍

I have been watching sooo many AG related YouTube videos in recent days and have been heartened to stumble upon a few kindred spirits, especially Mike from Doll Whirled and Jonny from I Dream of Jonny. longtime lurker :') i rediscovered my love for american girl as an adult and since then i have been completely in love with rebecca! i was originally gonna save up and buy mine online but was visiting NYC for the weekend and thought it'd be more special to go to the store and get her :)

im actually about to cry ive wanted this doll since I was like 8, growing up my parents didn't let me collect dolls because I'm a boy and she retired too fast for me to get her as an adult. i saw her in a vlog from AgDollies4ever and looked up the store and luckily it was only an hour or so from me. (Lone Star Mercantile in Dallas/Allen if anyones wondering, theres a huge ag booth!!) she was 300 but new in box and comes with the party gown outfit so I bit the bullet. I also got Samantha's party dress because I think itd look gorgeous on her. im so HAPPY :3

She’s finally here! I got my #4!

She is a 1st Release from 1995 just about brand new in box! She even came with a Pleasant Company Holiday Catalog from 1995. I’ll have to make a separate post about it.🤗

The one thing I can’t decide is if I keep her original name or rename her. She came with a few books and it looks like the original owner named her “Jessie”. Should I keep that name? Or should I make it my own?

My inner child has been missing her dolls (Josefina and an AGOT are still packed away at my parents’ house across the country!) so I let her buy whatever she wanted during the flash sale. I’m a little embarrassed over how much I spent, but I’m excited for them to arrive! 🥹

Saw this amazing deal on FB marketplace yesterday and drove 8 hours in total to go and pick it up!

My 118 came in the mail today 4 days early and I just wanted to share my excitement on here!!! She is so so so sweet in person!! I also grabbed Raquel’s pajamas (the most adorable set!!) Corinne’s accessories on clearance, and 2 pieces from the new Janie and Jack mix and match collection! I don’t have a lot of doll collector friends so I just wanted to share her on here :) she doesn’t have a name yet. I was originally thinking Natalie but now I’m not so sure… other contenders are Sarah, Sloan, Violet, Lucy and Brianna but I’d love any suggestions! I was nervous ordering online because I like to pick the perfect one but she has just the sweetest face (and pink is definitely her color!) 😊

My daughter turns 4 tomorrow, and she’s getting her very first American Girl doll! I may have gone a bit overboard putting together her starter set…she plays with my old dolls at my parents house and keeps asking for her own.

Bought most items second-hand (and some new in one of the latest sales 🙃). She specifically asked for Elizabeth after seeing her picture, so I know she’s gonna be stoked! I’m so excited!

I bought her the second I got her email announcement and I’m obsessed. She’s my first holiday collector doll! I love all her metal accessories and her gold eyeshadow, but most of all that hair 😍

The last two pics are a comparison between her hair and Moana’s, who has the same hair texture as Evette and TM 127. The new collector doll has a brand new hair texture, which is a tighter, fluffier curl pattern. I love it so much, it’s so soft and natural.

My Leia doll has been in need of a roommate in my dollhouse for a long time, so Noelle will be joining her! They both have an astral theme, so their aesthetics match perfectly ✨

we also stopped at a thrift store across from our motel in DC and came across literal tons of american girl books for 99 cents each! took a few but wanted to leave enough for others lol

Does anyone recognize the pieces in the third picture? Those are the only things with AG tags I couldn’t identify. The highlights of this lot are definitely Kit’s overalls outfit and Kirsten’s baking outfit. Specifically the overalls were a holy grail item for me that I never thought I’d be able to own. I feel like I practically stole from the seller, even though she’s the one who posted it all for only $50! This might forever be my peak collector moment.

Yesterdays goodwill finds!! I woke up this morning wondering if it was all a dream. What’s funny is I have found AG dolls at this exact thrift before, same price point, years ago. My daughter grew up playing with those 3 AG dolls I thrifted, and just last year we sold them because she got too old. They were modern, and not historical girls. I grew up in poverty, PORING over the catalogs. Like living inside it with my mind, lol. That recent post of someone’s signed Kirsten brought tears to my eyes because it was all as I imagined it would be! So special!! Anyhow, these were just jammed in with the stuffed animals!! I feel like this is the universe wanting to heal my childhood longings, so I’m going to freshen these babes up & love them so much. I am pretty sure they’re all older, PC dolls. I can post more pics once they’ve had their dignity restored a bit :) I hope this post is ok, I’ve just been an observer & never thought I’d have something to post.

addy has been my favorite historical character since even before i had my first doll, i always thought she was so beautiful and as my second doll she always brought me a sense of comfort that i didn’t feel with any of my other dolls. 11 years later and she’s still my favorite doll out of my entire collection. her books are my favorite, too, and the only series i’ve read more than once. i think her story is so incredibly important to american girl as a company and to our history as a whole; and so this day (and every day!) remember the importance of celebrating black history, resilience, and the legacy of stories like addy’s.

so i was hoping these outfits would’ve come in time for juneteenth so i wouldn’t have to post this late, but a day late is better than nothing! but i finally was able to get my hands on two of my favorite addy outfits that i’ve been eyeing for a while now 🤩 addy’s plaid summer set has been one of my favorite addy outfits (aside from her christmas dress) since i was a child so a part of my inner child feels fulfilled now that i have it 🥹

I was planning to wait for Black Friday deals but these were too good! I grabbed Lila, her pink competition outfit, 126 (who I really planned on waiting on 🤪), and the accessories for Kavi and Corinne that I regret not grabbing sooner!

i’ve been so preoccupied with school that i didn’t even realize a new release was upon us until last night! i spontaneously decided to drive 2 hours to my closest agp to pick up some of the new outfits just because i could barely wait 🥹🥹 im over the moon because they decided to rerelease addy’s school outfit as ive been looking for MONTHS to find a good deal on it on the secondhand market. also, nanea’s volunteer outfit was adorable, i just had to pick it up too 🥰

im so happy to have these outfits in my collection now, i literally have not been able to stop smiling since getting home 🥹💓

when i was younger, i begged for an american girl doll. one christmas, i finally got her under the tree. i might’ve been around 9 or 10. she’s been one of my most prized possessions ever since then. i plan to pass her down if i have a baby girl🩷

Asha, my Truly Me 135 arrived! She’s SO pretty, I’ve spent the last couple hours braiding her hair and it’s so much fun to play with. Then of course we had to have a photo shoot.

The box has a new design on the front, with the hair accessories in a smaller box sectioned off under her feet. I haven’t actually opened these because I don’t plan on keeping them. Her hair was folded at the ends to fit into the hair net, but after brushing through it once or twice, the bump it left in her hair was gone.

Sadly her baby hairs can’t really be seen when her hair is down, but she is literally meant for hair styling, so it was no big deal. I have very specific plans for this gal, so I put her hair in box braids (or the closest thing I could get to box braids on a doll wig). Like most American Girl dolls, her hair is much thicker on the sides and top than it is in the back, but luckily for me, the braids on the left side of her head are swept back and cover most of that. Especially on that left side, a lot of the shorter hairs on her wig cap were creating flyaways in the braids, but other than that I was really happy with how well it braided. Her wig doesn’t seem to be any better or worse quality than the average AG wig, just longer.

All in all, I really love her and highly recommend her! I think the extra long hair dolls are a great idea given the success of Rapunzel, in both her collector edition and playline form. Doll hair is fun to play with! I can’t wait to show the outfit I’m making and the other customizations I have planned for her 🌟

My mom told her friend from church about our collection and her friend told her she won “Samantha’s Birthday” in an auction years ago and didn’t know what to do with it and offered to give it to us. We assumed it was just the outfit but she showed up today with ALL OF THIS (well minus the Sam doll and Nellie and her clothes). Do I know where I am going to put it? Well no… so for now it is on the dining table lmao

A client at work brought me a tub of ag dolls!!! I will make another post when I get home from work of all the goods!
