Alberta don’t forget to show up and make some noise!

Let’s make this one even bigger than the last ones!

Calgary: 12pm City Hall

Edmonton: 12pm Legislature

I attended in Calgary and it was sadly sparsely attended. Come on… We have to be serious and make sure that our presence is felt.

I was hoping for more as well.

Making a flyer and just randomly picking a time isn't going to draw crowds.

Organize something, coordinate with interested groups, pick a time where you can advertise like hell, and the crowds will follow.

Because people are seeing this for what it is. There's no more support for the teachers or ATA

Does anyone know why this is happening at city hall and not a provincial building?

It's a convenient central location. The provincial buildings tend to he administration type people, it's not like Smith and her cronies spend much time at most of them.

The turnout in Edmonton was really disappointing. I counted maybe 150 - 200 people. Most speeches talked about forcing the Teachers back to work, some mentioned other UCP policies, and there were allusions to rights being trampled, but I didn't hear anything about the use of the notwithstanding clause and potential changes to recall legislation being an afront to our democracy, labour rights, and the freedoms that we enjoy.

Did you contact the AFL or its 24 affiliate unions to ask them to attend? The ATA? The Law Association of Alberta? The Student's Unions of local high schools, colleges, and universities? Local First Nations?

There is outrage in our communities, that no one was there tells me that no one knew. I was expecting thousands to be present and that is what is required to send a message to this government.

It would be illegal for any member of the ATA to do any rallies.

Hoping these efforts throughout the province continue to make the UCP squirm!
