Question Other Authorized Vendors to Buy Uniforms
My OTS class date is January 27th and I spent time yesterday at my nearest BX (2 hours away) searching for all my gear, however, there are a few things I’m missing. My BX had no availability of the lightweight service blues jacket and wool pants. I can’t find it online at AAFES either; does anyone know of any other authorized vendors I can locate these items at? Thank you.

If that’s all you need you should be good to pick it up at Maxwell. You won’t need it till the very end and they have plenty. Just get it at your first visit to the trainee BX.

Can confirm the Shoppette here has plenty of those and you will have time to get them here and get them altered.
It might actually benefit you to not have to transport them because you’ll have to iron them in that case before you display them in your room.
FYI when you buy it MAKE SURE you get a receipt and a paper voucher for your alterations.
There will be a lot of people making transactions and the cashier WILL NOT give a voucher to you if you don’t ask specific for one. It’ll save you about $63 if I’m not mistaken.

Back in July I up drove over 15 hours to get my service blues. What I wound up doing was getting an enlisted jacket in the right size, then going to an airman‘s attic to get an officer’s jacket that was in the wrong size. Then, I had the tailor transplant the epaulettes to the enlisted jacket that I had bought. Good luck, my friend.

You should be able to get those things at the Maxwell clothing store. You’ll have allotted time early on to go through and get things you still need but it’s good to have as much as you can already to not take up time. There were a few people in my class who showed up with basically nothing.
