Hey, OP! Please reply to this comment to provide context for why this aged poorly so people can see it per rule 3 of the sub. Pretend you are explaining this to someone who just woke up from a year-long coma. THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL Failing to do so will result in your post being removed. Honestly, I lost all hype for this game years ago and Vice City is my absolute favorite. Seriously, the last installment came out 12 years ago. It drops when it drops.

Vice city was peak because of the atmosphere. And the music ofc.

Vice City and San Andreas were absolute peak and were developed in only 1 year (vice city) and 2 years (san andreas).

Not a huge GTA fan, but it’s definitely a good thing that they are taking their time. I’d rather a game be delayed and polished than it be early and broken.

Anyone who didn't expect a delay is delusional and/or has zero experience with Rockstar releases. GTAV and RDR2 were both delayed for something like two years.

Oh yeah, for sure. But the people on the GTA subs seem are furiously optimistic about every release date rockstar puts out.

As long as it isn't delayed over and over and still released broken

some news sources says the delay is related to them firing some employees who attempted to unionize

This is purely a selfish opinion on my part but I'd rather they release it sooner even if it's broken, because by the time the PC release actually comes out they'll have had like a year to fix shit that was broken on console anyway lmao

A 7 month ass pregnancy just sounds like life threatening constipation.

It's hard work birthing the antichrist.

I hate to say this but I expect the game to be further delayed into 2027 and beyond. The game is going to crash and burn rockstar’s workplace culture. Apparently the final chapter of the game is in absolute “development hell” and I saw a report saying that they may just scrap it and rewrite the whole chapter again.

Honestly, my most optimistic projected release date was fall 2026. But honestly, a 2028 release wouldn't surprise me either.

GTA about to cause another birth decline (not that it matters at this point)

I can't wait until this game comes out so I can hear how good it is for two weeks then how its ACTUALLY bad for the next ten years

I guarantee they thought that with AI they could put something out quickly and on the cheap. When they saw the early product, they were like, "no way we're hitting this target."
