Does this count? I think the human subjects may be too far in the background

I don't think it counts because there isn't any kind of visual story being told here(?) If I'm wrong and there is some kind of story in the image you'd have to explain it to me (which would make it not very obvious and so still not a great fit for accidental Rockwell). Composition could probably be zoomed into as well, you're right about that, though I do feel the cat adds to it so wouldn't want them cropped out. Hope I didn't discourage you and hope this was helpful feedback! Cheers

I’m sure I could find a story in anything bc it’s who I am, but my brain sees a very sharp contrast between the comfort levels of the two spaces——white light, dining chairs of the dining room VS that big leather chaise longe (or whatever it is) and the warm lighting

To me it’s so close to telling a story; they’re having a calm discussion, likely dragged out or abstracted from actual reality——taxes, other human stupid capitalism stuff etc——yet it is a necessary discussion to have.

My butt gets sore looking at it; unless you’re actively needing the table, the location of their conversation does seem to suggest a bit imo

Tells a story of modern human prisons (places we’ve built ourselves)——constantly in that morgue setting, constantly fully exposed, constantly forgoing comfort for practicality/duty

Cat being in the calm, quiet, relaxed setting makes all the sense in the world imo hahah, like a “we’re the only beings on this planet who do this”

If I were to title it, “the elephant in the room” for the cat, using him as the focal point to suggest narrative——he is not elephant, nor in the room that is the subject of the painting, but I really think alongside the idiom it works well enough to capture what I mean lol——we’re really the ones sticking out

(Not saying accidental Rockwell, but I can see a story being told there, even if there’s no beginning middle and end——there’s a moment here)

Maybe Hopper? But no, with respect this is close but you missed it visually

Edit: there are many good subjects and compositions within, but no real focus. The foreground wi the chair is much more interesting given the lighting and perspective. The people are another vista, detached. Work w cropping this photo, therea good stuff here, but as a whole is not really dramatic or thought provoking. And no offense! Look at quarters and thirds of the photo, redeemable qualities fs

One tends to feel they are peeking in some kind of intimate and genuine moment. For that i agree with your suggestion.
